Oh boy Gundy

Im in the “end his career” camp. That’s should be the obvious next steps for anyone, and the fact that an explanation as to why his career as a college coach should end is strange.

Cant be a college coach at a public university and be an example of leadership and morality, while making millions suckling off of the free labor tweet of young black men, when you’ve used that word with hate in your heart And it doesn’t matter if it happened 31 years ago, 13 or 3.

Sorry, “it’s fine for Gundy to have used ethnic slur” supporters, but he’s got to go.

And the fact that there are some on attempting to paper over this with “it was 31 years ago so don’t judge him for his sins as a 22 year old” or “I need more evidence,” even though this was in newspapers at the time and confirmed by James today is “interesting” and quite striking to say the least.
Your surprised?

I was looking for witnesses other than other Colorado players. I assume this chatter was on the field. Did the refs hear it? Maybe some of Gundy’s teammates willing to come forward? Or perhaps other similar incidents? I’m looking for a pattern of behavior from Gundy, and this tweet does not provide one. I could just as well presume Gundy is or once was a racist by his growing up white in Oklahoma.
Spoken like a true racist

Unfortunately, just like everything that happens in the $EC on a daily basis, nothing will be done about this. Happened too long ago.

Dude that's the problem right now ur deluding the point. What's being brought out is he called ppl a racial slur multiple times and yet he wants ppl of the same race help him make millions. It shouldn't matter when he said it. He said it
When I was growing up, we used to use the phrase '***' as an insult.

When are the woke masses going to come for me?

He'll quit when he realizes he will never get another black player to play for him.

#RacistsSuckBigotsSwallow

GO CANES!!!

We all know that isn't true. Kids NEED scholarships and opportunities and have been doing it for Klansmen and overt racists for YEARS or really for 150.75 years to be precise. Read InsideOut Coaching and the parts about Syracuse football. "First black Heisman winner" and the HC is a racist d-bag. The list goes on and on. Black players will come to Ok State because they want to play football and they can bring in 85 dudes on a full scholarship and maybe even let them do a commercial for a car dealership

If we are going fire every person whose called someone the N word or a cracker At any point in their life no one will have jobs.

This movement is getting diluted with petty dust ups that will overshadow and delay real change.

That is the problem when you have a moment with no leadership or poor leadership (i.e. Kyrie Irving and the NBA coalition)

I’m more than ok being accountable for what I say and do. Thirty minutes or thirty years, it’s still me... scumbags are going to scumbag.

Good for you. I’m glad that you are either perfect or still think like you did when you were 16.

The reality is that 99% of all other human being are capable of changing and forming new opinions/ beliefs.

Clearly Mike made some mistakes in his youth.

As of right now while I type this. There isn’t any record or proof of him mistreating his players based on race.

I believe Alfred Williams who hosts a radio station would be that witness. Obviously he spoke to Shannon Sharpe in private but curious if he would say something publicly if asked. Not sure why someone would lie about that when his team was beating Gundy (QB at the time) 41-7.
He said it directly to reporters right after the game. A game in which his team dominated.

You say this, but look at your avatar. Not saying he should or should not be fired, but to get rid of the word we need everyone to stop using it in all contexts. If you think it is a offense that deserves being fired after 31 years ago, then why use it in your avatar everyday to be seen on every post? Unless if the word ending in an "a" softens the blow or use of it?

And the dude is white to top it all off. His hypocrisy is off the charts.

It's not a huge stretch to come to the conclusion that a guy who grew up in OK and wears a mullet at 50 has racist in him. I mean show me the poster on this board who isn't somewhat racist and i'll show you the liar.

This isn't like it's some "gotcha" moment that popped up 30 years later. This was written about back in 1989 in a newspaper after the game. Strong evidence that it happened and it's probably who Gundy is at heart.
