Officially Pursuing Grad Transfer Tyree Jackson

The qb room is full of a bunch of spoiled, immature primadonnas. Need someone in there showing them the way to prepare and conduct their business on and off the field. And coming from buffalo, my guess is he’ll be thrilled to have an opportunity to play for The U and will work his *** off accordingly.

If this move costs us Jarren, it's not worth it IMO. He's clearly our future and appears much more accurate than this kid. Kosi is not as important, but Williams absolutely is.

If it "costs us Jarren" it costs us Jarren Williams.

Tyree Jackson is a one year rental. Its the same year he'd lose by transferring elsewhere.

I agree that Williams gains very little by leaving...but it seems like he's already on the fence and these fickle kids very rarely use logic when making these decisions.

FWIW Luke Easterling has this guy going in the 3rd round of his mock.

Also has 3 Canes in the 2nd round and 2 in the 3rd.

I will take him ... **** will take anyone ... but does he wind up or what --- not a quick release at all

Long delivery. Not accurate. Immature on and off the field.

But he has big play capability, if you are willing to overlook all the bizarre decisions he makes.

I would say no if we had a decent group of returning quarterbacks. With N'Kosi Perry and Co., I reluctantly have to say yes.

Anyone who says no thanks to this kid is full blown crazy. He has talent that you can work with, he has experience.

I don’t trust Kosi is going to make it through the offseason plus he’s a bonehead. This will be Tyree or Jarrens team imo

I mean, you hope Jarren stays. You hope the new OC can sell him on competing and development and a real Offense.

But you cant let him hold the program hostage with transfer threats. A grad transfer is a must and if Jarren leaves I'd get a regular transfer as well for 2020

Until I see Williams actually play I’m not going to expect anything.I remember 2 years ago Perry was the second coming and was gonna take the job fromRosier and take us to the CFP.

The guy sucks.....Until I see Williams play I’m not going to expect anything and until that time I’m going to assume we need someone to lead this team next year cause Perry and Weldon ain’t him.

Now JW might actually be all world. In that case we will have a great starter and a decent backup if we do Go get one without having to rely on the two known entities that we all know can’t do the job.

We need an experienced QBs whether it’s this kid or somebody else.

I think it's a big mistake. Jackson is a wild card. NFL arm talent, but accuracy and mental process are questionable against much weaker competition. A grad transfer is is only coming if he is going to be the starter. It sends the message that we don't believe in our QBs. They will feel that the position is being handed to the grad transfer and will want to transfer themselves. QBs are not going to get better by watching Jackson. He's made just as many on field bad decisions as our QBs.

It's time for the young guys to play. I'll take a pass on a grad transfer QB.

Just watched this kid play a couple game and definitely not impressed. If we played a true spread offense last year Kosi would be close to the same numbers. Wouldnt hurt the QB room to have him in it tho, but would rather coach up Jarren and Kosi who's quicker on their feet. Have the time dude throws the ball up for grabs, he made a living on slants and comebacks.

We need to get him some elevator cleats.

He could stand on the ten-yard line, just fall forward - and be three feet into the end zone.

With all do respect, you don't know ****. We have learned nothing about our young QBs because the situation was mismanaged. N'kosi showed promise from the FIU game thru the FSU game. He threw some dimes that nobody can deny. Passes that I haven't seen Jackson throw. He also made a bunch of mistakes on and off the field. Perry lacked the maturity that could have locked down the position. Richt should have never gone back to Rosier and we are yet to see what Jarren can do. So we don't know anything about our QBs. To write off a young QB after 1 partial season is just foolish. Players need time to develop. They have to go thru the growing pains. Would you have written off Payton Manning after his 1st NFL season with his record setting 28 interceptions? **** NO!!! Before you respond by saying N'kosi is no Payton Manning, realize that what your saying is the kid has no ability to improve. We don't know that yet.

Your banking on a guy with NFL arm talent, but makes as many mistakes as our young QBs against much weaker competition. Don't think a grad transfer QB is a panacea. Most don't work out. It winds up being musical chairs at the QB position. If anything he's just another body to compete.

Also, all the young QBs will improve each year. They will not stay the same so you can't just go off a small body of work and say "he's not the guy."

3,131 passing yards
28 TDs
12 INTs
7 Rush TDs

First full year as a starter.
Why wouldn’t we want this kid?

7:3 interception ratio...and a low accuracy passer. People saying he isn't that good of a passer but hes a great athlete? Thought wer were trying to recruit a QB not a Wildcat guy.

You know what? I changed my mind.

If you don’t want him here I actively hate you. A proven QB who just led his team to double digit wins AND WON CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE YEAR, but some don’t want him at Miami.

6’7”
Big time arm
Can run

Put up good passing stats.
Nope, no thanks, guys. We’ll put our money on the walking suspension and a freshman that’s yet to take a snap.

This is why we can’t have nice things. Let me know who doesn’t want him so I can shlt in your mailbox and shave your dogs.
