Officially Pursuing Grad Transfer Tyree Jackson

Imagine fedora or applewhite helping him with his accuracy. Already a strong arm.

This kid would be dangerous. I see Diaz's vision with this kid.
Fedora worked wonders with Brandon Harris’s accuracy when he transferred to UNC. Jackson is who he is.

I doubt that a guy would leave a pretty good situation for himself to go somewhere and compete in his final season. He’ll be looking for assurance he’ll come in as the top guy.

Yup..he's gonna want at the very least a wink wink agreement that he'll have every opportunity to win the job right from the start.

I'm fine bringing him in, it can't hurt from a depth chart standpoint and will put N'kosi to the true test, which I'd rather get out of the way from now.

But i'll say it again.....I would at least inquire into Frenchy as well before making a final decision. Frenchy was a victim of the abomination that was Willie Taggart but the kid can play and he's got what the locals who live North of Flagler and East of the Palmetto commonly refer to as 'COJONES". Put him in Fedora's system and you'll have some fireworks.

Would definitely rather have Francois over him

Are we all certain that Fields is signed and delivered to OSU? Why not go after him as well and have a full QB room for the 2020 season as well?

Yessir. I see a lot of Newton in this kid.
Unless Cam is pounding him in the butt there’s no Cam in this dude.

He’s a decent player who had a couple good WRs and played horrible competition. He’s produced more than our guys, but if all you’re looking at is numbers, then I’d bet Malik’s junior numbers were fairly close to this dude. I’ve watched him play. He’s ok. He’s no slam dunk.

You guys can’t sit here and roast Rick unmercifully for his horrible offense and his QB coach for being retarded and then turn around and assume our QBs are terrible. They might be terrible just like all the idiots on here thought our defensive players were horrible when Doritos was here.

I’d like to see what our QBs can do with even remotely good coaching and play calling that helps them succeed.

Go ahead and bring this guy in. I don’t hate him. He’s decent. But I wouldn’t expect him to suddenly get accurate and quit making terrible decisions under duress or choking.

I like frenchie too. He does indeed have major cojones. He deserves a better ending to his college career.

I'm the biggest Jarren believer but we need competition. I'll take a Josh Allen type, with all his strengths and weaknesses.

Has anyone ever asked why Richt would not give Jarren some experience and put him in even with the new transfer room.Surely he is better than the two guys he continually ran out there.
Or is he NOT better than them and was Richt hiding him from the fanbase not wanting to let them know he and Jon had failed on another evaluation?

Something didn’t make sense in all of this especially his not playing in the bowl game with absolutely nothing to lose.

You have any ideas.

In addition to the physical tools, Jackson was the MAC Offensive Player of the Year. Buffalo won ten games. It's not all projection with him. He's already had success and still has untapped potential.

I prefer a more accurate passer but this guy can cause problems. According to PFF, he was the most productive downfield passer in college football last year. His arm with our speed can back the safeties up for our highly recruited tailbacks to operate.

He's a future pro backup...and Franchise is right...he is what he is.

I still don't see anyone on the roster that is better. You threw out Josh Allen, which was one of Jackson's pre-season "comps" due to his High School FBS score...I think Josh Allen is cheeks, but Josh Allen would be a starter here. Miami has produced non-league fodder at QB of recent vintage. Even a pro backup is better than what we've been producing.

We are talking completely different systems, but Gardner Minshew was a 57% passer before going to Washington State. Joe Burrow is only a 57% passer now. Brady White was nothing special and is only a low 60s passer.

Sometimes, you just need some competence, some character, some stability at the position. Thats all I ask for 2019.

I wouldn't give Richt the benefit of the doubt with anything. He was burnt out.

Spot on with this. I too watched him play some this year and I mean you can see he has potential, but so does Kosi and from all accounts so does Jarren. If if it’s for depth purposes and a backup role sure. He’s not a guy that should be a starter at Miami, just like Malik never should have.

I feel you. I’ve watched the kid play 3 times this year because I like to degenerately gamble on sports. He’s just a bigger version of Malik.
I watched his final two games in their entirety, and I was expecting to be blown away after hearing all the hype I heard on him. He’d make a great throw then just drop the ball without even getting hit. He missed a bunch of open guys, looked nervous, and forced balls.

He’s ok, but if you guys are expecting a big time QB you’re setting yourself up for another Lucy ball yank (and not Lucy from Craig’s List). He’s a virtual clone of Logan Thomas.
