"It was pretty cool," Skinner's father, Teddrick, told 247Sports on Sunday night. "Cristobal is a pretty cool guy. He's got some stuff going on down there. We spent a lot of time with him and had a lot of conversations. It wasn't anything where it felt like he was being a salesmen. He was just being genuine. I think Miami is going to be on the map pretty here pretty soon."

According to the elder Skinner, Cristobal didn't really talk about the offense he plans to install or a play caller. In fact, there wasn't much X and O talk at all.

"It was more so him just telling Jaleel that if he came he would do big things," Teddrick said.

While it sounds like the Skinners enjoyed their time with Cristobal, the Crimson Tide should still be considered the team to beat heading into Wednesday's Early Signing Period.

"We just wanted to take advantage of that second visit," Teddrick said.

It’s so funny how we move the goal posts on this ****. OJ Howard was all world IN COLLEGE and so was Irv Smith, and they both were First Round picks (aka they got paid). After that, Saban has no control over what happens to them. Does Njoku busting in the NFL diminish what he did at Miami? Of course not and you can guarantee we will use him in our recruiting.

Fact is we haven’t been as good at developing tight ends as Alabama, Iowa and Notre Dame for a while now. Even Georgia, where tight ends go to die, has that Browers kid ballin right now.

We could sell Skinner on playing time, or how we would make him our Kyle Pitts / Njoku type, or whatever, but our recent track record of tight ends (and Mario’s overall) isn’t the end all be all.
In what world was OJ HOWARD all world?.

Man yall dudes are insecure bad. Alabama has like 2 te's total in the nfl....with 1 of them barely being equal to David Njoku at hopes and currently Brevin Jordan is even outplaying as a rookie (Brevin has 3tds so far this year). We are about to have our last 4 or 5 te's drafted. Alabama isnt even int he conversation...its Iowa, Notre Dame, and us if your speaking on TE'S. Then you gonna speak about UGA??..LOL
