he could easily shut this bs down like mora did with UCLA. clearly there is smoke and fire here. the issue is still not done obviously but he is flirting right now with the girl and its only a matter of time before he either closes the deal or decides he likes sleeping with us better.

LOL WUT? .....Mora has been swirling in Texas rumors for 2 weeks and is just now coming out and saying he's staying.

Losing AG this way, less than a month from signing our best class in ages, less than a week from bowl raping, to a school still under sanctions, will cripple whatever building blocks have been laid over the past three years.

I know the cool thing on here is to say there's been none laid, and F golden, F insertcoachhere, but the fact is he bolts and we spiral down to even lower depths.

He stays and does nothing about the d situation, then you can bet your ******* either he or Dno are fired next year after a repeat performance of the defensive **** show. If that happens then either we get a new DC and things look up, or we lose golden on our terms and aren't left holding the bag. Either way, the best scenario is AG sticking with us.

swirling with 3 other names. golden is the only name i hear right now over and over.
 
Except if you fire Golden you owe him another 5 years of his contract reduced to what would be a massive buyout. That means less money to spend.

If PSU takes him FROM us, they owe US that buyout which means more money to hire a real coach.

Well Al would have taken a big fat pooper on us all. If its broke, bolt huh. Real coaches see through what they start.

LMFAO, why would anyone want to let another year go by watching what would essentially be the same results. I liked Golden, I wanted him to succeed but the bowl game was it for me. It's not different than Coker and Shannon getting embarrassed in bowl games with a month to prepare. It's unacceptable and a clear sign of what he truly is. Clear definition of insanity to expect anything different at this point, especially with Golden's unwillingness to change.

Remains to be seen. Agree there is no interest now. But we'll see in 2-3 years after some of these recruits start to, hopefully, bear fruit.

Also, I will take some exception that the NFL wants solely X and O guys. Guys like Harbaugh (both), Ryan, & Tomlin (to name a few) are not the biggest X & O guys. While far from suggesting Golden is NOW ready for the NFL, I don't see him being too far from emulating Butch Davis' days here either. And Butch was good enough for the NFL. Of course, just a few years earlier our fan base (and no doubt funded by a few on this board) was flying banners calling for his firing.

Just some perspective, I suppose.

Because Al's a better recruiter than both of those corches, and if we hire another coach next year we'll have a good enough talent base to win immediately. If that bum Shannon got four years, then I don't see why one more year of the Al Golden experiment would be such a disaster. If he succeeds the better for us, if he ***** up on D at least we'll have an actual team for the next coach to inherit.
 
I understand how negotiations work but Golden better hope and pray he gets that PSU job because ****'s gonna get ugly down here. He's not returning calls from current players, recruits and Trustees? I understand why he has to do that (only makes sense if he's negotiating, interviewing or in the process of deciding on whether to go to PSU) but he's eroding any good will among Trustees, and little fan support that he had before.

As I said before.....he better get that PSU job because his rep down here is already tarnished after this episode.
