LULZ. You've got about a thousand posts the last two days in every Golden complaining about how silly it all is. If it's all so annoying, why keep reading and posting in every thread?

It would be nice to know the head coach of the University of Miami football program without having to wade through schtick and trolling.

Pretty sure the easiest way to find that info without having to put yourself through the tragedy and pain of opening and commenting in all these threads is to just wait for ESPN to announce it. If you're looking to avoid misinformation and buffoonery this might not be the best place for you.

I think the most important hire since Schellenberger was in fact Golden. We could not afford to whiff because of we needed to keep pace with FSU's resurgence. We failed.

This program can not withstand a long period of ineptitude. This reminds me more of the late 60s and early to mid 70s. No committment to winning, inability to recruit the best local talent, true fans in the seats of 20,000 or less per game, and even worse than 40 years ago, a crap stadium 25 miles from campus.

By 1976, UM football was on life support and given one last opportunity.Back then we didn't have any conference affiliation and hence no confererence revenue source.

ACC revenues sustain the athletic department to enough of a degree that athletic donations from the die hards keep the rest of the thing afloat. That is perfectly acceptable to this administration.

If it wasn't for our ACC membership, I seriously believe that the athletic program would be five years from dorwngrading itself. I truly think if this admin mindset continues, within 10 to 15 years we'll be looking at a downgrade to small college status regardless.

1. If Golden is so bad then why is he being offered another HC gig? I mean when Coker and Shannon were considered bad, they were unemployed for a couple years then went down to lower jobs.

2. If Golden is so bad and he beats out Franklin for the PSU gig, why would we want the 2nd tier guy that Golden beat out for the PSU job?

Remember those days well, and it is true Miami as a University had little or no interest in football and if you remember right after having a decent basketball program, had to play on Miami Beach, the cancelled basketball. You would think that the proximity of the beach to the university would have opened there eyes to a stadium, nope had no real interest in sports.
