LULZ at the robotic "our recruiting class will be destroyed" responses from Al's Army. If we hire a great replacement like Schiano or Petrino, not only would they keep the class together, but they'd probably add to it. And all those recruits won't do you any good with the **** head defense we have anyway.

You think Kaaya might enjoy playing for a guy like Petrino who has a proven track record as one of the best offensive minds in football?

How is Schiano a great replacement again?

He runs an actual defense that stops people, has the ability, unlike the sweat hog, to step in and fix situations if his defense struggles, is a great recruiter, a great evaluator, a very good developer of talent, and has tremendous coaching connections to hire an excellent staff.

Next question.

And he's won on the college level about as much as Al has. A sure deal he is not. Not saying he's a bad coach, but you're in lala land if you think he's a slam dunk.

You're in la la land if you think he wouldn't be a monster upgrade over that fat dummy you continue to prop up. You leave out that Monkey Boy played in an actual conference and had some actual wins over good opponents while at Buttgers while Al's something like 1-12 against teams with more than 7 wins. LULZ at Al's Army trying to equate Al to The Monk.

Like I said.
The 2 things working against UM is 1.1M pay difference (which I think Miami will offer a pay increase due to Al is one of the lowest paid coaches in the ACC), and Al is from Penn State, and there is pressure to fire his buddy.

2 things working for UM -
He has a **** of a class coming in, has family in Naples now, loves the weather, feels he hasn't completed what he started here, and his family likes it here.

I think he gets a raise out of it and stays.

I really don't know how I'd feel about Al leaving.

I have a feeling we'd regret it down the road. This monster recruiting class would completely fall apart.

I think Golden would get offered before Franklin because there is no way in **** State Penn hires a dude who was involved in a rape scandal after what happened with Sandusky:

Chris Adamski @C_AdamskiTrib
Of all places on the planet would Penn St hire someone whose name recently was in same paragraph as "rape"&"coverup"? djournal.com/sports/vanderb…

Thank God Franklin's players raped that chick. It would be the only thing that would stop them from offering him ahead of Al.

Franklin might also be in the cat bird's seat and not want to go to Crappy Valley and deal with the stench of what's going on there. He can afford to sit back and wait for a better cleaner opportunity.

My money is on Monkey Boy. He's got ties to Joe Ped and is a far superior coach to Al.

If Schiano says no, I definitely think Golden gets a raise out of this. This DC situation is one that could definitely hurt us here though.

What's really going to drive me up a f*cking wall, is you know that if he leaves, he will take Donofrio, and next year their defense will be at the top of the Big 10. And eveyone here will want to drink bleach when we are rebuilding under George Oleary. Because THAT is our luck.

Wonderful, So now a coach known as monkey boy should be our next coach. One big problem, there is not a job opening in Coral Gables.

I dont feel comfortable with Al leaving. With hires like Shannon, and Coker in the past. Until next year we will not really know if Golden was a good hire or not. But yall wanting him gone knowing that something worse will probably come through that door.

If Golden tries to get a raise, then let him go. He's done absolutely nothing to deserve a raise, and if our AD and Shalalalala give him a raise, then just burn it all to the ground.

See, you were going somewhere and you just had to go the extra mile and say something that not even you believe is possible.

Is this a joke? We've gotten better every year since he's been here, and I think wed all be pretty surprised if that doesn't continue next year. We have top ten talent next year, if we go 9-4 with them then there's an issue.

He stuck with the program and pulled some stud recruits to go to a mediocre acc school with other coaches saying we were gonna get the death penalty.
A lot of the upperclassmen on this team were just not good ball players.

I'll admit the in game coaching wasn't great this year but I've still got faith in golden recruitin and developing players. Losing him would set us back again.

Yeah...and Coker had an 80% win percentage and a national championship on his resume. I remember folks like you chastising folks like me who called for his head before it became the mainstream train of thought.

Trust your eyes...that's all I can tell you. If you don't see it by now you're going to be late to the party regardless. All of the signs of a badly coached/prepared team are right there in the open.

I like Al as a person...and I badly wanted him to succeed here. The truth the matter is you need a hungry, aggressive, ****head of a coach to win in today's college football. Al is pretty much the opposite on all 3 counts, for better or worse.

I agree that you need a hungry, aggresive, ****head coach. I dissagree that Al is the opposite. I think he is all those things. His problems are the X and O's of defense. He isn't a good DC and his passive system sucks, but he is a good HC. If he scraps HIS defense and brings in someone with a better one, Al can take us to the promise land. His weakness is stubborn pride-- pride in his system. If he let's loose of it, firing Mark will come easier than we think.

LOL, and yet you KNOW, with our f*cking luck, that is JUST what is going to happen. Think about it. they will get to PSU, and suddenly Donofrio's defense is goign to look like Gang busters. Mark it DOWN. Remember who told you.

mark my words, if Al stays, he gets a raise. Hope they leverage it as Blood money to say you have to get rid of dorito to get the money and also change the buyout language to dump the contract before 2020 if it doesn't work out in the next couple of years.

His record is 68-67 in 11 years @ Rutgers, all the while compiling 1 year with 11 wins (in the Big East......a real conference LULZ) and regressing the next 5 years (2 four loss seasons, 2 five loss seasons and 1 eight loss season). He continually underachieved. In Al's last year @ Temple he beat your, real Big East Conference champion, UCONN.

I'm just pointing out how retarded and schizophrenic you are. You'd be all over his jock the first year and then be tearing him to shreds in year two or three when his "game day coaching" was evident.

I don't think the guy would be a bad hire, I just know better than to crown the guy like you obviously have.
