It seems to be surprisingly quiet so far. Oregon's AD is on the playoff committee and he said the decision on whether or not to retain Helfrich won't be made until Wednesday or Thursday. Butch Jones and Brian Kelly seem to be coming back although they both deserve to be fired. I'd be furious if I were a Tennessee or Notre Dame fan. The ADs at Tennessee and NCSU have announced Kliff Kinsbury and Dave Doeren are both being retained. Tommy Tuberville hasn't been fired yet either.

The FAU coach is the only coach I'm aware of who got fired today.

I think Brian Kelly will leave. Dude is begging to get out of ND, probably calling all 32 NFL teams for a position anywhere on the staff
 
I agree that Helfrich is probably going to get fired. Especially after the Civil War loss. I think Sumlin is going to get retained. Sumlin seem like one of those coaches who will spend 10,000 years on the hot seat but constantly manage to just barely do enough to keep his job.

Soooo, Oregon administration is meeting with him this Wednesday to discuss how much they believe in him and his staff??

Or discuss changes he should make. Think about it: Why would they make the move now? Who would they get if it's not Chip? There aren't many options right now, and please don't mention Fleck. They have a certain style and waiting one more year for Chip is probably their safest bet. Unless they go after Frost to be HC. Doubt it though.

Is kelly going to get any offers though? He might be the worst coach in FBS. Is seems like he and ND are stuck with each other.
 
with buyouts becoming in the double digit millions schools are more inclined to keep their coRches.

CoRch Jim McElwain is supposedly one of the people Oregon might try to get. Seriously I believe they would be better off retaining Helfrich than hiring McElwain. Especially if McElwain can't get Geoff Collins and Randy Shannon to come with him. McElwain is an amazingly bad offensive coach for a guy who's background is in offense.
