Don't do it Coach... It's a trap...

That dude needs to sit tight, and grab the Tennessee job when Butch Jones gets fired.

His recruiting ties to Florida, Georgia, and Kentucky are ideal! He just need to hire some staff with ties to Tennessee to bridge the gap.
Noooo way... Lol

Not to make it a racial thing, but the absolute worst place for Black HC's is the Sec East.

He should stay at USF for as long as possible until he wins the American & then take a B1G or ACC job if one ever opens up.

The SEC West states are more racist than the East. Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana are more racist than Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Kentucky. Even in Georgia and South Carolina people don't elect David Duke as governor or scream out in bars about the best n****r on their football team.

The SEC East is a great place for corches to hide, regardless of the corches' race. Because it's not always obvious you're a corch when you're competiting against McElwain/Kirby Smart/Butch Jones/Muschamp/Stoops/Mason/Odom. My God Derek Mason is probably the best coach in the division and he's almost as bad as Golden.

You think so?

I'd think it would be a differentiator.

You get a black coach who can relate to the kids he's recruiting AND actually coach. Combine that with strong booster support, and the right guy could have a dynasty in the Southeast.

If I'm Taggart, I chill and wait for Tennessee. Unless MElwain leaves Florida or Coach fails faster at LSU, I think Tennessee is the next big opening.

And based on their last 3 hires, assuming USF has another year or 2 like this last year, Taggart will have a better resume than Kiffin, Dooley, or Jones.

But who knows?!?

I'm not talking about the States, I'm talking about the Jobs/Program...

He wouldn't last at a program like Tennessee or any of the other East programs.

His best bet is to just stay at USF & benefit from finding underrated Florida talent...

You don't get it, do you.

Why do you think there's never been a serious AA head coach candidate at any top tier SEC school? Not even a serious candidate. Ever.

Only Vandy and one of the Mississippi schools.

We all will be dead and buried before there's a serious candidate at Florida, Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, etc.

The boosters, Bull Gators, whatever they're called at the particular school will not have it. It's called old cracka money - and it's a real thing in these redneck areas.

Here we go with the pvssy hurt feelings from players. Indiana looking for a reason to not pay his buyout. They want some pvssy to say he yelled at them too loudly or slapped one of them upside the helmet.
I don't pay much attention to Indiana, but I had never heard anything about player mistreatment at that program til today...

He coaches hard, but they just signed him to an extension last year. So they're looking for a reason not to pay the buyout.

Think Bobby Knight choking one of his players.

Tuberville "resigned" today. Not coincidentally his buyout was going to drop $500,000 in 2 days. I guess he agreed to depart 48 hours before he would get fired in exchange for a reduced buyout.
