Until Missouri or TAMU prove they can handle the defensive and offensive lines of an upper echelon SEC school...I just can't get behind a win for either school, despite both being at home...both lines are low enough where I'd simply go in on a win for the SEC school. Florida and Georgia weren't strong last week against MAC schools, but I gotta figure that's just first week kinks. Mizzou and TAMU are stronger opponents, but not exactly built for SEC competition yet in the trenches.

I'm leaning toward Georgia, and I'll give the 2 and Florida on the ML but maybe Vegas is just trying to get me and I'll steer clear...those will be game time decisions for me. There are lots of trap lines this week.

Valid point, and why I like Florida, but probably won't make a play. Franklin is one of the more underrated QB's in the country though and he has some serious weapons on offense. Even if Mizzou's line can't handle UGA the hot routes could still be efficient.

Any teams ready for a let down yet? Is Bama pretty vet or young this year? Their win was big, but they are beasts over there! Or are they?

Clemson.

So Clemson, Bama, and Miami are all coming off of big emotional wins.

Alabama knew they were going to win. I wouldn't really call that an emotional W. More like business as usual.

Beating Boston College isn't a big win.

Clemson beat up the big brother (SEC) without their best player. It's a perfect letdown spot against a potent Ball State team.

Had Gmen -4, under and over on sacks 4.5, so I basically broke even tonight.

Whats up w/ this weekend? Like someone posted earlier, lot of trap lines, haven't really seen one that i liked enough to lock in as of yet. (actually, 1 unit on latech -3.5 and Miami +7, small thou)

As for the NFL,

HAMMERD Hou -10 for the biggest bet of the season (6 units)
On sea -2.5 for 2 units

Thinkin buffalo ML and maybe the saints -7, like the over more though. Also leaning Den on sunday night.

Whats up with the 2 FMA's boo?

Last I checked, it's Houston -13 so you definitely did well in getting it at -10.

Def Air, got in on that on monday i think. It won't matter IMO, HOU D w wreak havoc on that oline/rook qb, see HOU winning 31-10, lets hope we're close.

Couple more leans this weekend for CFB....

Virginia -10 at home vs penn st
Temple -10 at home vs maryland (also like the under whatever the # is )
ARK st. -23 at home vs memphis

Utah -7.5 @ utah state (fri night)

I'm not placing any more wagers until I see if we get a FMA for this weekend. Patient bear patiently waits.

As of right now there are 2 potential FMAs on tap for Saturday.

As of this moment, the Double FMA is still on schedule for launch... just waiting for that mutt Joe Grren to post the totals at BookThisMan. He's definitely running the 4 corners hoping the more obvious of the 2 numbers will rise out of BooThisMan's strike zone.

Coming off a hugely successful 2011 and back by simian demand its...

Reginald The Monkey

Dallas +3.5 over NYGiants
SanFrancisco +5 over GreenBay
Washington +7 NewOrleans

/These plays were made yesterday but the delay in the podcast cost everyone a crack at Game 1.

Robbie, you're looking good tonight with Cincy -3.

And LMAO at the Oregon-FresnoSt total being 78.5 now. I'll probably be that guy that takes the under.

College football bettors are no strangers to big piles of chalk in the first few weeks of the season. But the 70.5-point spread for the Savannah State-Florida State game this Saturday is the Mt. Everest of pointspreads.

The monstrous line, posted by Cantor Gaming in Las Vegas, is being tagged as the largest spread ever for a college football game. Mike Colbert, sportsbook director for Cantor Gaming, says it’s the biggest number he can remember posting.

“It was an interesting line to make,” he told Covers.

Savannah State, which plays in the FCS, was thumped 84-0 by Oklahoma State as a 67.5-point underdog in Week 1 – the former largest NCAAF spread ever.

Colbert says his oddsmakers looked at that game and the fact that Florida State is a better team than OSU, eventually coming up with the opening number. Odds for FCS-FBS matchups don’t usually come out until the day before the games, but Cantor made an exception for this unique spread.

“We thought this was a little bit special, so we put it out early,” laughs Colbert. “I respect anyone who bets this game. You’ve got to have a little gambler inside you to bet this one.”

As for action on the 70.5 points, Colbert says 75 percent of the early money is on Savannah State. Cantor Gaming has set the wager limit at $10,000 for Saturday’s contest but has only received smaller wagers as of Thursday afternoon.

“I will tell you, the first two bets were on Savannah State,” Colbert says.

Cincy now at -6...pretty happy where I'm at with taking them at -3.5.

FSU -70.5? I might be all in on the Tigers of Savannah State

Good luck. Savannah St is worst team in football. Oklahoma State had to try to not score 100 on them. FSUs defense is much better.

Yeah, no chance I'm actually putting money on this. FSU just beat Murray State by 66 pts.
