Keep in mind that the 34th ranked recruit and the 340th ranked recruit... are both 4*'s. That the difference between an NFL team stealing a guy they had graded as a first round draft pick in the top of the 2nd vs. the 81st best undrafted free agent, a guy who is begging a team to give them a chance to be the last UFA in... to be a tackling dummy for a few weeks.

Think about that. All 4*'s are not created equal.

There are certain kids that are just obviously not meant to play at Miami. Tre Johnson or Tyreic Martin for example. But Ivey is clearly someone who has the prerequisite physical attributes and has flashed potential, and just wasn't a finished project (same with Zion) It's really just fan frustration to hammer on him for no reason other than he's not living up to expectations. Hammer on the coaches that put him in too soon.

I think Ivey will do really well this year. Looking forward to seeing him in the CB#2 spot.

He has the strongest arm on the team, and it's not even close.

This is great hearing all these different names popping up in camp. Especially guys like Redding, Smith, Arroyo, B Smith, J George, J Knighton and Restrepo! If even 1/2 of those guys become solid contributors we have a very deep list of offensive weapons/combinations we could potentially Trot out. It would take ALOT of pressure off Harley/Mallory or at least make defenses pay for zoning in on stopping those two. Still waiting to hear Rambo finally break through that wall though

It’s not an exact science
But it’s factually proven you tend to win more the more 4/5 stars you have
There’s always outliers but the majority just follow the curve
