Offensive Gameplan.. .

Its not about formations...we didnt do anything to try to get a favorable match up. Instead we kept going over and over again to the match uos that we weren't winning...inside run and wr vertical route outside the hash. We didnt try a single RB screen...something you usually do against preasure....tried two WR screens....didn't move the pocket at all. Just sat there static waiting for the preazure to get to King. Didnt try throwing to our RB's...a match up we could win...nothing. We just played right into what they were doing.
Exactly and that is what I have no possible explanation for. It just isn't defensible in addition to being utterly inexcusable. I'm literally at a complete loss. It was like someone kidnapped Lashlee before the game and replaced him with Mark Richt.

You use formations to get a favorable matchup right? My point is that there were no favorable matchups to exploit except for Brevin and they bracketed him.

I can't remember seeing so many Soft *** WRs at UM......No fight whatsoever....no seperation....terrible route running....
All day all over the country receivers are making contested catches. Making sure they run into the DB on the underthrown balls to get a PI call.

Our guys drop anything that isn't a perfect pass and fall down if the wind blows.

It was terrible. Bad players are one thing. Not helping them is another thing.

You see these dudes every single day. Scheme to your advantages.

You don’t need NFL WRs to move the ball in college. Teams with no pros do it every week.

If you the OC and you know you’re group isn’t that talented you’ve got to help them. Put them in position. Give them a chance.

We played right into our weakness. We should have ran rb screens and isolated brevin and Mallory on their safeties and backers. Way too many plays for our WRs tonight. They are soft af. And lil.

I'm not going to **** on the players and make excuses for lashlee. He was ill prepared, didn't help the team at all, and got worked. Im sure he will learn from it but that was BAD

He had no choice. Venables is aware of our weakness. He stacked the box and dared our receivers to beat their corners while pressuring a bad OL with a much more talented DL. Clemson didn't have weaknesses to scheme around. To truly compete with the Clemsons of the world we have to have players that can win 1 on 1's and right now on offense almost none of our starters can beat a Clemson starter 1 on 1.

With their motivation to stomp our skulls in every single time along with a serious talent advantage, we should thank our defense for keeping the game manageable most of the way. There's not one guy on our offense who would start at Clemson.
Contrary to what many think, he actually didn’t stack the box. Most of the night they had 6 in the box and at times 7. They collapsed the LOS, though.

If the wideouts caught at least three of those deep balls Venerables would of eased up on the zero coverage and spreaded out his defense more. The wideouts didn’t so he just lined 8 in the box and blitzed more than we could block. Lashlee say all week, make the congested catches, and the wideouts didn’t. The gameplan started and ended with the wideouts.

That is an absolute fact. What I want to know is if anyone here can give me a theory as to why Lashlee did what he did tonight. I can't come up with anything. I'm completely stumped.
I thought we would at least be able to scheme up some offense and stay in the game. That was not substantially better than Rosier and Richt in 17.

Lashlee is a deer in the headlights coach....I knew it when he ran that phuckin dive on 4th down....a play that was getting stuffed all phuckin night....

Cam would have got that first. The backer was being blocked and Rooster put his head down as soon as he got the ball. Ran right into it. Needed patience there.

Still a dumb *** call... wasn't working all night they stuffed our interior the entire game.....why call it 4th down on your own 20?
