Of of all the QB’s still on the roster not including (TVD) and the ones being brought in. For the 24’ and 25’ classes.

WHAT IM SAYING IS. If you see your guy developing. GIVE HIM A CHANCE. How many FREAKING times have we seen FRESHMAN/YOUNG QB’s step up or be thrown in the fire and they succeed. Do we need a transfer portal QB? Maybe, but if our guys progress or are progressing. Show FAITH in your guy.
I get your argument. I have had considerations like that when we had annual conversations about bringing in transfer wide receivers, when on paper we had some very talented young players.

But to be blunt on the quarterbacks, we need:

- Miami to achieve such a state of dominance that being a game manager is sufficient

Or…

- One or all of them to overdevelop into an NFL caliber player. Basically at least one needs to be Colt McCoy, who as a non blue chip recruit was expected to be the backup to the highly recruited Jevan Snead in 2006, but ended up outplaying him.

Barring a change late in this cycle, this will be the second consecutive year without a blue chip recruit. If Nickel doesn’t rise in the rankings, that will be three years.

The last time the Canes went three years without signing a blue chip quarterback was 2009-2012.

Safe to say even if we bring in a portal QB. Emory Williams will be GAME for the competition. Really looks like a natural thrower of the football.
