Observations from College Station

We had the same experience with the fans - really really nice to us - even the students were being nice - great tailgates and the tent area in Aggies park with sponsored tents was awesome - and everyone offering food and drinks. Also impressed with the amount of former players at the game D. King, Tolbert Bain, Andrea Johnson (others I recognized ) and Coach “O” - both fan bases were excited to see him. I believe his son is on Texas A&M staff? Also agree other years the team would of folded and we would of been rolled in the second half.

O’s son is a GA at Miami.

Went to the game with my cousin and sat in the 5th row in North End Zone. Few takeaways:

- size wise we were right there with "an SEC team" and felt the same could be said about speed.
- the push our DL got was relentless and it was all game long
- the OL worked very well together and did a great job communicating in that hornets nest
- the staff is extremely involved with a buy in from the players during warmups
- outside of the second touchdown we tackled very well
- the mental toughness is coming along, recent teams implode after the muffed punt
- Cyrus Moss is tiny, he looks like a JV player compared to the others size wise
- Njalik Kelly is a bendy and swift as advertised
- Darrell Jackson is absolutely massive, biggest DT we've had in a long time
- Henry Parrish is extremely shifty
- the offense took two steps forward, one step back throughout the night
- the defense played hyper aggressive all night, especially in man coverage
- some are saying the moment was too big and disagree, we made mistakes and bad ones but it's not because we couldn't handle 107,000.
- TAMU fans are way too nice
- Kyle Field experience is top notch and highly recommend catching a game there
I was there as well. Sat in the front row of the upper deck in corner of the end zone and had 3 game changing plays happen right in front of us. The muffed punt by 2 , the blocked FG and the missed opportunity to recover the fumble when they returned the favor and fumbled the punt inside their own 5 with three or four Canes right on the ball and still didn’t recover the fumble. It was a very long night. Their fans were about as nice as it gets. One lady even told me she happy TAMU won but was sorry your team lost. And I honestly think she meant it.

At the rental car pickup and at the stadium I heard comments about how well traveled our fanbase was too

It was a great experience other than the outcome. The tailgate (Lot 43) was poppin from about 11am on to kickoff. We watched some of the day games with some Aggies fans in their RV. As stated, they were super cool people. First, I ran into Mark Richt prior to the teams' arrival outside the stadium. He and his wife were waiting to see their nephews (Max and Jake Johnson) arrive. Took a pic with the legend and joked about who he would be rooting for. Then about 30 minutes later I spotted Coach Orgeron and his gf as we all waited for the Canes' buses to appear. Took a pic with him (he had UM gear on) and chatted about the game for a second. Those two encounters alone were worth the trip to College Station. Definitely would visit again.

Forgot to mention, I saw Bun B about 10 minutes after arriving at the Houston airport. Talk about a legend! Couldn’t believe that. UGK!

Man they were offering to buy me stuff on their concession runs. LOL And this older lady gave me a hug at the end of the game. Said I handled it very well. I told her I was used to it unfortunately. Haha

I went there years back for a game and it was uncomfortable

Probably because I’m from the north and being a Miami fan you’re just used to it

But they were so nice I found myself going “are you ******* with me?”

“Howdy friend!”

“The ***** your problem?”

On the bus ride back to Lot 43 every Texas AM fan had a hard on about the grass and kept yelling “ stay off the grass”
