BTW you know the day after he was hired he likely had a staff full of GA's calling and DM'ing top 200 players asking them if they wanted to do a last minute visit.

He's the new Mario of last cycle bruh. Really want to see what he does on the trail. I think he's going to go crazy next cycle.
It remains to be seen if Deion will put even a fraction of the effort Mario puts into recruiting (although you probably could say that about 99% of the college coaches).

Also remains to be seen if Deion is just going down the lists of 4* and 5* talents or if he's willing to recruit/eval under the radar kids who haven't blown up yet.

I don't care what he does long as he stays away from our targets lol, but him and those Barstool NIL bags he might pull a top 15 maybe top 12 class for 2024 even if he goes 2-10 on the field
I suspect that it might be higher than that in the 2024 class. There is a lot of hype and presumably dollars behind his foray into Colorado.

But the real test will be how all of these high-priced players co-exist with each other in Deion's second season - the fall 2024 season. If Colorado doesn't win 7 games that year, if they have a 2022 A&M type season it could all quickly fall apart.

I don’t think he will come close to putting in the work. He will live off of fame and hype until the novelty wears off.

There sure is a lot of closet FSU and Deion **** suckers on this site.
There are a lot of people that fail to live in reality and scream and cry because the guy went to our rival school 30 years ago. The reality: he is a great recruiter, and completely turned around a historically terrible program. Who knows if he can do it at Colorado, but to date, he has built an impressive résumé and seems to have a plan that he has shown to be able to execute on thus far. The only people that are hating and predicting his failure or calling him trash seem to be cane fans. I don’t like him and I’m not rooting for him, and, frankly, cringe at most of the stuff I see him put out, but to think he’s not going to be a problem for years to come on the trail just feels delusional.

I'm not sure if effort matters just results at the end of the day. I don't think Deion has shown he can get multiple top players but he has shown if he targets a specific top DB prob should be worried if your going against him.

Effort matter if you want to have elite recruits at all positions and not just WR/DB. NIL and/or bags are needed too. Its a summation and not just one thing.

I just don't see Deion being willing to do the grind that is necessary to pull elite recruits long term. May be willing to do it long enough to jump to a better school though. We will see.

This is the part where you see where the parents are at.
All I’ve heard is how his parents want to make sure he gets a good education and is around a good set of coaches.

If they pick Colorado then it’s just another bs bidding war disguised as “looking for where me and my family feel is the best place”.
Dey kept it one hunnet wit us

What the **** has he done in regards to a resume as a coach and program builder. Stop believe everything you see on a TV streaming series hyping him up for doing what he should with a major talent advantage and he still manage to lose games he shouldn't have. ESPN has always kissed on his *** as well. He's done nothing to this point to deserve this much hype. To be it's more delusional assuming the unknown based off one coaching job and getting a few recruits that BarStool helped pay you to get.

All I know is that if I were a serious track athlete, I'd rather spend my days running in warmer weather than in the snow or freezing rain.

Feels like you just described Mario Cristobal lol. He clearly understands what kids want to hear to get him to come play for him. I don’t think he’s necessarily a good coach, but if he can attract a higher level of talent than his competition, like he has shown he can do (signing the #1 recruit in America to an HBCU…), then I think he will stick around for a while and be incredibly annoying on the recruiting trail and maybe win 10 or 11 games every couple of years and maybe a conference championship here and there. But what I don’t understand is acting like he is a garbage pail that doesn’t understand how to recruit or coach and will be gone in three years like some posters on this board believe. I will bet a profound amount of money that that will not happen.

I honestly don't think it matters to kids. BEsides, the kids up north run indoors in the winter.

That's the one weakness I think Deon has he will recruit the list. If I observer more through the season I may change my mind on that and be wrong. He may evaluate and we will find out
