Many of us have blinding hate for ND. Some feel like communicating with the enemy is verboten.

Some of us hate, but respect ND as an institution. I happen to fall into the final camp. I have friends who attended ND, and my family is close with Kyle Hamilton and his family. I still hope ND finishes every season 0-12.

All that to say you will find all kinds on CIS. If you can parse through the different feelings your posts are welcome here. But you’ll have to be able to withstand the arrows because if you reply in kind, the war drums will start beating for your head.

I appreciate that. Thats how I feel about Miami also. Really good program, very good institution. Underrated nationally on how academic you are as a University. I don't mind the arrows. I am a teacher, coach, and athletic director. You have to have thick skin, lol.

I'd rather argue with you than the self loathing hurricane fans on here.

The one thing I can't understand is how the national perception is Notre Dame will just replace basically all of its rushing and receiving production, outside of Faison. Carr was ok his freshman year but they did not ask him to do a lot, so the idea that all of the sudden he's going to be this weapon is projecting. I get the OL has a ton of returning production but Miami fans know you can have the best OL in the world but you need proven athletes out there to win big games.

I get the feeling Notre Dame will be more similar to Miami last year, where the offense tried to do enough to control and win games and they relied on defense. Problem in our matchup is I think it's going to be very hard to stop this Miami offense. Great offense beats great defense in college.

None of this is to say Notre Dame won't be good. It's just the current perception of a guaranteed top 5 team doesn't seem to align with reality.
 
I am a really big Aneyas Williams fan. He played over Price a fair amount as a freshman. Seider came in as RB coach and decided to give all the carries to Love and Price. Williams averaged 9.3 YPC in his limited reps. He is ready for his time. The receiving corps is much more talented this year. They had Greathouse for all of 4 snaps last year. Faison is tough. Skipped lacrosse this year to focus on football. He is like a poor man's Malachi Toney. Same style and quickness. They expect big things from the OSU transfers. Really talented kids. We will see if it pans out. I am with you. My biggest concern is that CJ got the benefit of heavy boxes last year. We will see how the teams play ND this year. Carr isnt a dink and dunk though. I believe he led the nation in yards per attempt. Or close to it. They will be aggressive on O. I agree with you again. While NDs D should be very good, I don't see how you hold this Hurricane O under 25. You will have to score. I am picking the over on this one. It will be fun to see if both teams roll as predicted while looking ahead to this one.

I hate ND but they should have been in over Bama. Would have at least made Indiana play one tough game instead of rolling through a bunch of ****** teams.

In a good and just world, Notre Dame and Indiana face off in the playoff semi-finals, each team turns the ball over 6 times and embarrasses itself on a national stage, ND manages to shart out a win after someone trips on the power cord of Cignettis AI supercomputer and unplugs it accidentally, ND goes on to play Miami in the national championship game, all the ND players peepee themselves like they did in 2017 when their bus was surrounded by UM fans, and then Miami crushes Notre Dame 49-0 to win #6 at home.
