We all want both teams to lose on Saturday and TD Jesus to implode and fall upon the field engulfed in flames...

Short of that desired end state, what is the best outcome that serves Miami's interests?

- Want a decisive ND W over aTm for Miami to maintain "quality win" on resume
- ND imploding against aTm hurts our Canes in November
-- Eliminates (essentially) Irish from CFPO in week 2
-- Body blow to Miami's at-large chances vs SEC/B1G hopefuls

Again, **** the Domers, but as Canes fans we want them to beat the brakes off aTm on Saturday.

agree here, but you could easily argue a second ND loss *should* knock them out of contention of CFP given their schedule.

with no ND in CFP contention, hypothetically how may SEC and B1G teams then get in?

SEC
LSU
Texas
Georgia
Oklahoma or USCjr or Toothless?

B1G
Ohio
Oregon
Pedo State
Illinois or Indiana or Michigan?

Let's say SEC + B1G get EIGHT total, G5 makes team #9, Big-12 champ is #10.

Let's say Clemson or F State is ACC champ. (I don't see us losing 2 games) But does a 2-loss Miami NOT get in over a 3-loss SEC / B1G / even Big-12 team?

I don't see that happening (yes, it happened last year but seems the overall perception of this year's team is different given both our roster makeup and tougher schedule).

Would (hypothetically) a 1-loss ND team get in over a 2-loss Miami team finishing the reg. season?

Point being - I don't think it's TERRIBLY important that ND win this Saturday. A loss in essence (should " ") knocks them out of the CFP altogether. and an ND win strengthens our resume but it's one more team to potentially worry about in the end of season ranking cluster**** politicking.

This isn’t hard. You want every team on your schedule to win every game but the one against you.

Yes, I enjoy seeing ND and UiF lose. But I’m not eight years old. I want Miami to be as successful as humanly possible. That trumps everything else. Miami’s success is propelled mostly by their performance on the field, but also by the performances of the teams they beat.

As a 10-2 team who missed the playoff last year solely because they didn’t beat any good teams, I don’t see how this is even a discussion. We want ND to win 38-0 on Saturday.

Yes, but if everyone wins out, and the gators are a one win team, like I hope, that works too.

You are wrong. I want all the teams except for UF and FSU to win all their other games. But those programs can rot, especially since they’re our only in state recruiting competition.
