Notre Dame guaranteed a playoff spot

People penciling them in as running the table and high up in betting odds to win it all but they don’t have Love, Price, or Fields on offense.

Guess we’ll see how good their 3rd RB is and if those former 5 star WRs that couldn’t play at OSU can make a difference there.

Personally, I think they’ll be mediocre. If I was more confident in our OL I would say we’ll go up there and blow them out
On3 has their one OT at like 17 in the top 100 lol. Believe that’s the guy that had an all time low pass block pff against Mesi/Bain.

Lol ya the kid is a solid player but he’s not the 17th best player overall in America. Relatively small for a LT and has mediocre feet. High IQ player and technically sound

Damon Wilson or Lightfoot are going to have him in **** too

For those of you saying for us to cancel the game, the emotion is valid but the logic isnt. Same for other schools.

They are still a big draw, and anytime we play them its huge attendance and huge ratings, which benefit us immensely. Do you think Wake Forest is going to cancel them to schedule Connecticut?

Well it's going to happen so get ready.

I don’t see the same thing happening in 2026. Sec played 31 g5 games in 2025. I believe they play 16 in 2026. That is more losses, more injuries, & more snaps for starters. 8 more losses within the SEC just due to head to head. It’s not like the top 8 only play the bottom 8. Thus, we should expect 4 of the best teams to have additional losses compared to 2025.

2025
Bama 9 sec Fsu, g5,fcs
UGA 8 sec, GT, 2 g5, FCs
Ole Miss 8 sec, 3 g5, fcs
OU 8 sec, Mich, 2 g5, fcs
Texas 8 sec, OSU, 3 g5
Vandy 8 sec, VT, 3 g5
Lsu 8 sec, Clemson, 2 g5, fcs
Texas am 8 sec, nd, 2 g5, fcs

Those almost all go to
9 sec, p4, g5, fcs
Texas AM is the only one I’ve found that isn’t. P4, 2 FCs.

When you replace a g5 with SEC, it means 8 more SEC losses.

Anyone ranked in the top 12 should be in the playoff. Isnt it the top 12 teams? This is how stupid college football can be sometimes. It has always been this way going back to having conference winner bowl tie ins. Hahaha like how stupid was that

Honestly think our DL will be on par with this years. Big steps for Scott, Lightfoot, Lowe, Moten.

The issue- the antitrust lawsuit forces the cfp to have at least one g5. Now in 5-10 years when it is not under the ncaa, it will be the top 12,16,24 with no need for g5 teams.

Moten returning and Scott having another level to develop into is what I’m most excited about. Plus Toure back and full healthy. Secondary with another year each is great. Poyser came along better and better as the season went along.

Think there’s little drop off if any at all. Maybe even statistically better.

2nd year in Hetherman’s system too. Those instinctual reads and communication on the backend will only get better
