Notre Dame guaranteed a playoff spot

Miami’s 2026 schedule is weak but the sec playing 9 conference games and 1 less g5 means fewer 10 win sec teams. I can’t see an 11-1/12-1/11-2 acc team being left out for a 9-3/8-4 sec team. Same with the b10.

People penciling them in as running the table and high up in betting odds to win it all but they don’t have Love, Price, or Fields on offense.

Guess we’ll see how good their 3rd RB is and if those former 5 star WRs that couldn’t play at OSU can make a difference there.

Personally, I think they’ll be mediocre. If I was more confident in our OL I would say we’ll go up there and blow them out

At BYU
Miami
SMU

Rice, wisc, at Purdue, Michigan st, Stanford, at UNC, navy, BC, at Cuse.

Four road games, 3 ranked teams and a bunch of cup cakes. ND at worst is 10-2. Their SOS has to be 60ish.

The playoff is controlled by espn. Whichis why I don’t understand how the commissioners could let this happen.

Ya they’ll go 10-2 like they always do. The voters/committee have to keep the MOU in mind and keep them 1 spot lower than you normally would to negate it.

With 9 ACC games if we finish 11-1 it means we got to ACCCG and 11-2 means we got there and lost. But every year I hear how weak our schedule is and 1 or 2 ACC teams are pesky af. We just need to finally win this conference so we only have 3 playoff games rather than 4.

Gotta win the ACC at 12-1 and hopefully get a top 4 spot and bye. 16 games was a ton. Want to avoid that 17th game at all costs.

They grabbed several defensive players in the portal that will contribute. Their D unit will be tough.

Commission? The conference presidents met to negotiate the CFP money split and they all contractually agreed that the future CFP format is decided by the B10 and SEC. Part of the negotiations included in the MOU was the guarantee to ND that if they made the top 12 they would participate in the CFP. The CFP qualifying rules for 2026 are different than 2025 .... ie, the conference champion is automatically in regardless of overall ranking (Duke would have been in under the new rule in spite of not being ranked in the top 25).

The B10 and SEC were "working together" when that agreement was approved. NOW they are in a ****ing match and fighting over what future CFP format will be established. B10 wanted to move it to a 24 team playoff and the SEC wanted to go to 16 and no further. They couldn't agree so by default the 2026 CFP will be 12 teams, like last year, but with the revised qualifying rules in place.

Well it's going to happen so get ready.

The DT from Oregon is the only one worth anything. Brewu is just another body and Keeley isn’t anything special.

More depth behind Traore and Bryce Young i guess

Miami should not play ND then, and only schedule the easiest games then and guarantee ACC championship. Strength of schedule is meaningless now if all we have to do is win the ACC.
