Here is my mopey take on local visitors for the UM game:
Of course, kids want to see the game. It's a big game, and it should be fun.
As a recruit, why would you buy tickets and sit among hoi polloi when you can be hosted in the recruiting section?
Obviously, it's better for guys like Cooper to be here, as opposed to being somewhere else. But I don't see it as that big a win for a kid from the tri-county area.

Be ready, this is about half of the list. We just have to win this game. It's that important to Mario and this program right now. It's going to be one of those nights at the Rock that doesn't happen often.

Getting them to a game of this caliber is not necessarily a win for the reasons you listed, but if we win it becomes a huge win. They get to see Hard Rock at its loudest, feel the energy which is contagious, and see that we are legit. So even if Cooper is only coming cause it is a big game and Texas is on the road for their big game, seeing a win against a hated rival like ND when both are highly ranked makes an impact regardless.
 
It might have been mentioned in another thread already, but who all was on the ND Visitor List in 2017 and how did that translate to closing on their commitments?

I realize that it is much different in November as opposed to Game 1, but I was just wondering if anyone has that info.
