whole list is pretty much
Syracuse 5-star WR commit Calvin Russell
Miami,
Michigan, and Florida State remain in contact and continue to push for a flip. Russell will be at the Miami-
Notre Dame game on Aug. 31, and there is a sense that this recruitment is not over. If Miami has a strong showing against the Irish and defeats the Orange later in the season, the Hurricanes may have a shot at a last-minute signing day flip.
Texas 4-star DL commit James Johnson
Miami and
Florida remain in constant contact with Johnson, and the coveted defensive tackle is expected to visit Miami for its home-opener versus
Notre Dame. Rumor has it that Miami nearly flipped Johnson from Georgia before he decided to change his pledge to the Longhorns, and it would not be a surprise if he flipped to either the Hurricanes, Gators, or Bulldogs when it’s all signed and done.
Oregon 4-star S commit Devin Jackson
Miami and Florida have remained in contact. The former Gator commit still has a strong relationship with Miami defensive backs coach
Will Harris, who initially recruited him during his time at Florida.
Florida State 4-star S commit Tedarius Hughes
Colorado, Miami,
Nebraska, and
Syracuse remain in contact with the blue-chip defensive back, and his recruitment remains open at the moment. Nebraska and Syracuse have long-established relationships with Hughes and will continue to push for gameday visits. Miami could be in line for an official visit as the communication with the staff has increased.
Louisville 3-star RB commit Lekhy Thompson
Miami is also looking to add another running back to go alongside four-star
Javian Mallory, and Thompson is expected to visit the Hurricanes for its season-opener against
Notre Dame. If either visit happens, the likelihood of Thompson flipping from the Cardinals becomes increasingly possible.
