The Big12 & ACC are basically the same when you look at the top 6 of the conference, it’s probably split 3-3All the other conferences will be changing theirs as well for the same reason. I'm not complaining about not making the ACC Championship game since the Canes made it in anyway and like you said, without playing an extra game.
I was just responding to the previous post saying the Big XII is perceived as stronger than the ACC. I'm just saying that the public perception of the ACC is they are stupid because of giving a 5 loss team a shot at the conference championship. Moreso than weakness in comparison to the Big XII.
The biggest difference right now is the ACC isn’t a serious football conference, Jim Phillips being our commissioner says it all. The whole situation is embarrassing for the ACC. They’re not proactive in any way.
Compare him to Sankey, Petiti or Yormark and it’s not even close.
CFB as a product would GREATLY benefit from the Big12/ACC each having several elite teams every year and sustaining that.
I hate the idea of having 2 mega conferences like the NFL, I would much rather see a large P4 with each conference having their share of elite programs.
It will be detrimental to both the Big12 & ACC if their only representatives get bounced in the playoff immediately. Having a playoff that’s only Big10/SEC teams is bad for this sport.
It’s why I never understood why so many in this board roots for all ACC teams to lose all the time, we NEED SOME to be GOOD/Successful or the whole conference looks like a joke.
