Notre Dame AD: ACC did “permanent damage”

All the other conferences will be changing theirs as well for the same reason. I'm not complaining about not making the ACC Championship game since the Canes made it in anyway and like you said, without playing an extra game.

I was just responding to the previous post saying the Big XII is perceived as stronger than the ACC. I'm just saying that the public perception of the ACC is they are stupid because of giving a 5 loss team a shot at the conference championship. Moreso than weakness in comparison to the Big XII.
The Big12 & ACC are basically the same when you look at the top 6 of the conference, it’s probably split 3-3

The biggest difference right now is the ACC isn’t a serious football conference, Jim Phillips being our commissioner says it all. The whole situation is embarrassing for the ACC. They’re not proactive in any way.

Compare him to Sankey, Petiti or Yormark and it’s not even close.

CFB as a product would GREATLY benefit from the Big12/ACC each having several elite teams every year and sustaining that.

I hate the idea of having 2 mega conferences like the NFL, I would much rather see a large P4 with each conference having their share of elite programs.

It will be detrimental to both the Big12 & ACC if their only representatives get bounced in the playoff immediately. Having a playoff that’s only Big10/SEC teams is bad for this sport.

It’s why I never understood why so many in this board roots for all ACC teams to lose all the time, we NEED SOME to be GOOD/Successful or the whole conference looks like a joke.

Sagarin has ACC as a slightly better conference than the Big 12 this year. Obviously thats without Clemson and FSU pulling any weight.

I think the ACC is a better football conference than it is credited for. Some pretty good coaching and a number of good QBs any given year. Definitely a tier below SEC and B1G, but not as dramatic of a drop off as is portrayed.

But absolutely the commissioner is a joke and needs to go.

I remember seeing a bunch of pussies on this site begging us to do the same thing if we were snubbed.

Thought it was *** then and think it’s *** now. Go and play the bowl game and get young guys reps. Get extra practice in to develop players.

Soft move

The CFP shafted ND by changing at the last second. We should’ve been in above them for weeks leading up to the decision. The committee only moved us in because they didn’t want to leave the ACC without representation. That was a mistake
Said the same thing also. FSU absolutely shattered their image and nd is making that look like child’s play right now.

I want in to the B12. I think it’s on the rise and we’d be treated way more fairly there than the other conferences, even if we could get in the B1G and SEC
I don’t think we should join them. Too many west coast teams. Utah, ASU, Arizona, BYU, and Colorado. When we went to Cal last year that game didn’t end until **** near 2am. The travel could take a toll on these young players bodies too.

Yeah, when I was at the Cal game last year I just caught the BART train home after the game.

MOAR WEST COAST GAMES!

Seriously though, the B1G isn’t convenient either and I don’t think we’re getting in there (unless ND really is shopping us 🤣) and i think we’d be treated like mierda there. And forget about the SEC - they definitely don’t want us and they would try to keep us down IMO. I think the B12 is the best and most realistic option. I like that conference. It’s a good spot for capable misfits and rejects.
