Notre Dame a 3.5 point favorite (All Miami-ND, Mali News)

Couple thoughts:

1) if Mensah shows out with a hobbled or inactive Toney, that’s a clear Heisman defining game right there

2) if Toney can’t play and we lose a close game, how bad can CFP drop us? Would they give us less of a drop knowing we didn’t have Toney?

#2 really doesn't matter. If we lose, no matter what, we're not getting into the playoffs if we don't win the ACC. The ACC isn't getting 2 teams in.

You are developmentally disabled. Nobody said "the offense is somehow better without Mali". Nobody said that, you ****tard.

What has been said (even before today) is that the Notre Dame defense has recently suffered numerous injuries. Meaning, what we face SATURDAY will not be the same defense that was fielded earlier in the season. IN THAT SCENARIO, our offense might put up more points and yards than normal REGARDLESS OF MALACHI'S PRESENCE, and not because we are "better without Malachi", but because Notre Dame's defense is WORSE when they are missing multiple starters.

Does that make sense for your limited intelligence?

As for your ridiculous assessment of our defensive play, no, Xavier has not been "awful". Our defensive backfield scheme has continued to employ soft coverage, even as we get healthier in the front 7. Which, of course, is a coaching and schematic choice. It is pure ****ery to argue that a cornerback is only "good" because his defensive line was good. Only a moron says **** like that. Anyone who actually knows football knows that Lightfoot is getting to the QB very quickly, but that opposing offenses are getting the ball out just a hair faster. If Miami had actually tackled better against UNC, the passing yardage would have been much lower. The average length of passes in the air was 5 yards.

So this moronic and overly-simplistic assessment that "our defense sucks" or "some player last year cleaned up a lot" or "some particular player is awful" is just generic and non-specific garbage that doesn't properly state what is happening. Or what people who understand football can see. I get that stupid fans who just scream stuff like "step up" and "play better" and "act tougher" will always fail to articulate a specific path forward.

Schematically, if Hetherman stops playing soft coverage and allows guys like Xavier to play more aggressively, and if everyone at all three levels of the defense concentrate on wrapping up and making fundamental-level tackles (instead of going for big hits and forced fumbles), then we will be fine. We will still give up some yardage, Notre Dame is a talented team, but we can win a shootout if we don't give them a bunch of free yardage through YAC or penalties or broken arm tackles on the running backs.

God we have some absolute pussies on this board.
Dear GOD thank you 🙏 for talking some sense into this Beta Cuck.
