Not Crowning Him, But What Pro QB Does TVD Remind You Of?

How about Kirk Cousins?

That's who 247's "analysts" compared him to coming out of high school. I feel like he's outgrown Cousins by now.

Thoughts?

cousins was a very good college qb who has been in the NFL for a while now.

he's thrown for 30k and 200+ TDs...if TVD has outgrown him that would be amazing.

There are some weird names in this thread? Lol he looks nothing like Josh Allen. He's a decent athlete but not like that. And Phillip Rivers? With his throwing motion? No. I'd say maybe Carson Wentz.

Majewski better than Rodgers??....You can't be serious....

Don Majkowski was an absolute star who had some bad luck with injuries. I think he was better than Rogers, he just played on a worse team and didn’t stay healthy long.

But OK, say for arguments sake that Aaron Rogers is better. That still makes him just the third best Packer, behind Bart Starr and Bret Favre.

And my point stands that he’s not close to being a top 3 QB of all time, like the post I was responding to was saying. That would put Rogers up there with Tom Brady, Joe Montana, and ahead of guys like John Elway and Dan Marino.

No way. Not close.

No one is saying he is as good as. No one. Simply stating similarities in passing style does not mean saying as good as. Who should we compare him to? Billy Bob Jones, a 5th grader from Iowa that no one has ever seen play?
Saban actually offered Billy Bob Jones yesterday. So…not sure what your point is.

^ I’ve seen some hot takes in my day, but…just…wow.

I'm old enough to remember Jacory Harris being tabbed "Tan Marino" after having a couple of good games, only to be lambasted and called everything under the sun when he didn't meet some of the resident CIS Mel Kiper's expectations. Let's leave the kid alone with the nickname and comparisons.
Ppl talking about physical traits
But a lot of a qb is what’s between the ears
He could remind people of tom Brady but it wouldn’t matter unless he’s the same between the ears
So I agree we have to wait and see if he keep improved in the mental game of being a qb so far he’s getting better and better

yall with the "I'm not crowning...but I'm crowning" type posts are the beta ****posting takes I've come to love about CIS. No better way to kick off the 10th Anniversary of CanesInsight dot com than to have some slop like this.

Jay Cutler? Bigger guy with a big arm, some aggressive throws due to having a big arm, can make plays with legs if needed. Thoughts?

I know this will sound crazy but he reminds me of Aaron Rodgers.

Check out the following vid. Look at how he slings it and also look at how intentional he is with his runs.

Not ready to crown him yet. But so far I'm definitely intrigued and grateful for this young Cane. Can't wait to see how his career pans out.

GO CANES!!

Dam-it man ... you are crowning him! And I agree!!!
