Not breaking news, but…

Dawson is done here at the end of the season.

Not happy with the amount of meddling by Mario and his boyfriend (Mirabal), and his ideas to fix TVD (limit the thinking by speeding up the pace of the game) has been nixed in order to play “complementary football”.

He’s also getting some heat internally for not being able to script plays to start games to get TVD in rhythm. While this is well deserved, you can’t really roast his *** if one of the fixes he’s pitched has been declined. As a professional, he should be able to come up with a scheme (it’s been 5-weeks) to mask some of this **** and he just can’t.

Two things -

^ I believe it’s true that he’s unhappy, but the source is biased. To me, this is a bit of CYA as the season ends on a major thud. Like Gattis, the stink of this type of prolonged failure is brutal for the resume.
^ TVD’s inability to develop as a player claims yet another OC’s career. It’s no secret I have a personal dislike for him, and this only strengthens my criticism that he’s an unaccountable *** clown.

Believe what you wish, and **** all of your mothers.

Interesting post but pls do us a favor & don’t be so diplomatic going forward. Tell us how you really feel. Let it rip (as Dawson would say)!!

Both the D and the O aim to not allow/put points on the scoreboard

The answer is too obvious. Either Mario has been meddling since the beginning (and there wasn't an issue) or he just magically started to meddle beginning at the moment he should have taken a knee vs GT. The answer is the former. Mario has always meddled in this offense. He always will.
Or Mario didn't like all the praise Dawson was getting for turning around the offense and felt like he needed to insert himself in order to get some of the credit. Egotistical people will do these sort of things.

Highly skeptical of this because it'd be a badddd look for both parties. Dawson would leave with a severely diminished reputation as he doesn't have the resume for his excuses of what went wrong here (even if true) to carry a lot of weight. Mario would look even worse and would seem toxic to anybody that he tries to get to come in here as OC #3 in 3 years.

Three OCs in three seasons?

Definitely a recipe for sustained success.

Perhaps one of the insiders can chime in...but wasn't the general narrative that Dawson begged for this job (twice) and he had to agree to some sort caveat that he'll run the ball as a term for employment? I just remember that being the general idea...but I could be dumb af and made that up idk.

Dawson did persist for the job, and made some concessions on input for the offense.

He didn’t sign up for condensed pistol bro style.

yeah that's it. Mario got jealous because of the type of offense that could win him 4 national titles, so he started to meddle with it. Good call, chief.

Not true. Dawson put Clayton Tune in the league. 11/20 58 yards and two INTs.

Love the warrior Ghandi schtick here.

Civil disobedience with a stick Mahatma!

Good for him.

He'll be the fall guy for this season, but his resume speaks for itself. No sense is throwing your career down the drain if you're not allowed to operate in full capacity the way you want.

Another one bites the dust...
Absolutely agree... you were hired because of what you can do and if you're now being held back or just overruled on your craft it's time to bounce....
