Baker admitted today that frierson was supposed to have help from the safety (Amari carter) specifically on that deep ball as he was supposed to turn him inside.

Baker also said he thought the linebackers played average

Someone had to say our LB were average like I've been saying for 2 years now. Stop calling them elite they aren't. After the big catch from Florida it was 2 & 8 in the rezone and Pinckney had the play stop but he took a horrible angle. Pinckney has always been terrible at angles and containment. He tries to try to make every play (half the time he whiffs to) instead of trusting his teammate, playing smart, and forcing the ball carrier back to the middle of the field.
 
Called two uneccesary corner blitzes that were the two easiest compeltions Franks had all game.

One got them in scoring position , the other got them out of the shadow of their own goal line.

Wish he hadn;t done that.

only complaint was gonna be a lack of pressure (5+ man) but after film review has shown the game plan to spy franks all night, it ended up working almost perfectly.

Like its been said multiple times, you take away those two chunk plays ( the missed tackle run was total BS) and you have a Manny Diaz defensive showing. Literally nothing else to say. Tighten up the offense and ST.
 
My criticism on Baker is he didn't tell them they had to tackle in the first half!!! Had they tackled in the first half they would've not scored at all and we would've been up bigger. It's a Blake's fault.
 
So, did anybody miss Derek Smith?

After the 50 page thread crying about his transfer, I figured Robert Knowles would have personally allowed 300 yards and 7 touchdown passes himself.
 
Just talked to someone on this. They were impressed and I was holding my thoughts only because of the lack of pressures called and sometimes the type of pressure (Multiple CB blitz from the boundary). He did everything else well, the guys have to tackle. I know it’s probably because they decided to make frank beat us with his arm and accraucy (which he’s trash) but it left me wondering are we not going to be the same TFL team from last year.

I think Shaq is consistently good, He does everything well even if nothing fantastic. Pinkney has always been too all or nothing for my personal taste. He doesn't make the simple play consistently enough.

I love our coaches being straight shooters on position groups and individuals performances. He’s absolutely right the lbs were average. Shaq and Pinckney are supposed to be the guys on D but they were almost invisible Saturday. Pinckney was at least. Shaq was decent at best.
