Just picked up commitments from two of the most productive playmakers in Broward, RB/WR Miles Jones and WR Dominick Watt.

If he can build up his skill positions and defensive backfield with local guys like this, it will give that program a serious boost.

Nebraska fans were always the most respectful fans to come to the OB. I hope they tear up the B1g and we're meeting in the championship like old times.

He will only get the left overs... go for these kids getting a chance to go to a big D1 school. I'm sure these kids will UPGRADE if they get the offer they truly want... ;-)

Nebaraska IS a big D1 school and can become a power again with the right leadership.

The were best when recruiting Cali and Texas. So Fl could be that replacement

Nebraska is one of the few teams from the old days that I want to see succeed because of the respect Miami and them had for each other.

I want Nebraska to succeed because Florida fans claimed to not want him after he turned them down.

TX - Turner Gill
NJ - Irving Fryar
NJ - Mike Rozier

Be careful what you wish for. Nebraska, like OK, recruited nationally in their heyday. Scott Frost adds Florida cred and ties that will have him in the National Championship conversation quicker than people think. Florida just became that much harder to recruit.

Better to have him trying to pull two or three south Florida kids to Nebraska than trying to pull 10 kids to UCF.

Have you lost your sanity? Scott Frost is "invading Broward"?

First, until a couple of weeks ago, he was the HC at UCF. He was within 3 hours of Broward. He has been recruiting (for Nebraska) a number of kids that he was recruiting at UCF.

Second, it's not like these kids were being heavily pursued by UM, UF, or F$U. They may have been the "most productive playmakers", but let's not pretend that Frost is getting Tyson Campbell and Patrick Surtain.

Finally, if this "invasion" continues next year, maybe then we can begin to pay attention.

As for rooting for other teams to succeed, no, it is not OK. It is never OK.

So, Frost got a couple of kids that he was recruiting at UCF and who were not really being pursued by the Florida Big 3. Big deal.

"Invading Broward". Hey, there's a job in Hawaii in the missile-early-warning program that you would be PERFECT for.

I'm not worried about him recruiting kids Miami wants. That's not the point of the post.

hard not to root for frost imo. It's okay to like more than one program fellas.

I have a soft spot for USF because I attended that school, when a football team was only a pipe dream. But Nebraska?? F no, never.

OK...so if this is a Miami recruiting board, and nobody is worried about him recruiting kids that Miami wants, then what is the point of the post?

Again, I don't think he is "invading Broward". He is merely continuing to recruit kids he was recruiting at UCF. If he honestly convinces Broward kids to become Children of the Corn year over year, then we can worry about Frost "invading Broward".

That’s very true.

But ...
1. Get a few Florida kids to go to NE is still a talent upgrade (even AL and GA only get a few each year)
2. Those fall back kids...well, they’re now signed to a major conference by the early period. Miami may not get a second chance
3. NE’s conference division MIGHT be weaker than the Coastal; so they’re fighting with WI to play OSU, PSU, Mich.
4. Ball breaks their way and they’re playing in the CFP and now they have chances at Tier-1 kids.
5. The cat’s out of the bag: USF and UCF are going to be top jobs for coaches looking for the jump to a power-5 program.

I ultimately don’t think it affects Miami from a win/loss or CFP standpoint, but on the horizon NE could become as much of a nuisance as OSU, MI, the rest of the ACC, the SEC (and the PAC-12 will certainly start camping out if Cristobal has success at Oregon).

Um. *** Nebraska. I remember these same posts about UGA last year. That changed quick when they made it to the chip.

I think it's pretty simple. If we keep getting better, win the ACC, make the playoffs, play for titles, then we can start to have a semblance of a wall around the "state of miami"

As a UCF student / grad I like frost a lot obviously and will root for Nebraska under him ( unless facing the canes )

don't think he'll have a ton of success down here with saban richt smart and Mullen
