$45MM to fire him after this season. After his 5th losing season out of 7. For context, we’ve had 2 losing seasons since 1980 (maybe I’m missing one, not sure) and we were acting like it was the worst stretch in all sports after 2003. This ***** could have 5 in 7 seasons and they’d have to sell their souls just to pay him $45MM to walk. That is absolutely amazingly brutal.

He’s not. I know a lot of people at fsu. Mike genuinely gives a ****. But you know who else genuinely gave a ****? Manny Diaz at Miami. He gave literally everything he had. But, much like Mike, he sucked at the job, and he had very little support. That’s quite the **** sandwich.

Mike is a poor recruiter. He’s not good at it. Worse, he hired people around him who aren’t good at it. And he doesn’t demand they be good at it. Now the support has completely fallen off the table. He already croots with one hand behind his back. Now he has no help. It’s over.

So no, he’s not trying to get fired. But he’s going to, because he sucks at his job. And the people around him have given up on him. It’s a slow walk to the gas chamber. I’m thankful we get to watch it in 4K.

If what you say is true, he’s an even bigger loser. People that give a **** take pride in their work. What has he done to be proud of? The worst recruiting in my lifetime at FSU. Incompetence in development across the board. Most kids regress under him. Zero culture.

Give that man an extension please.

Don’t pin your hopes on that. Manny just extended and FSU is beyond broke.

There is a growing belief in the fan base that their AD Alford could get fired and Mike could survive if by some miracle they win 6-7 games. They have no money. Even after this year mikes buyout is significant. Alford has been the one who created this salary cap conversation fsu always has. I think he could get scapegoated.

I don't buy the whole "beyond broke" stuff especially when it comes to football. Look at LSU, they'll bankrupt the state in order to make a splash HC hire. I mean I don't think they would have broken the bank for Kiffin as many of their fans thought last year (or maybe they would have?) but if they make a splash hire, all of a sudden money will be available. JMO
