You think the twins are coming back if they have an other loosing season you’re crazy Imo The RBs are prob transferring if the ol sucks again . The better question how bad does Miami beat them ! Does Mario show mercy or Does he run it up like fsu did to us his first year ? I have no mercy I say break them .

In today’s game you have to do both and I don’t think they have the finances or even the want at this point to do anything until they can afford to get rid of Norvell .
I gotta believe at this point I think they believe there’s no sense wasting money on him because they’ve finally reached the conclusion they screwed up and hired a loser.

Problem is doing this if indeed it is what they’ve resigned to do it is going to set this program back multiple years cause it will cost them 50M+ for the next 2-3 years to put even a competitive team on the field so what they are doing is just digging themselves a hole they might not be able to get out of for a decade or so even with the portal.

Then you have a bigger problem….what coach in his right mind is going to come in an take over a P5 program who has a roster so devoid of talent they probably aren’t capable of competing in D-3 but will be expected to win in the next couple years.That coach would be nuts to take the job.Go take a lesser job, do a good job there and then you walk into a program that at least has a chance of winning.

They are SCREWED.

Maybe someone more familiar with Mike’s contract can fill in the details but I believe I saw that his buyout is really backloaded. Like they’re not saving much money unless they buy out the last year or two only of his deal. I could be wrong here but I believe they saved something like two million dollars by not firing him after last season. If they’re willing to punt on a season and let their program fall even further into the toilet over 2 million dollars, they’re even more broke than we thought they were.

They couldn't buy him out thats why he's back.

F$U is holding out hope for two bailouts. One from the state of Florida on stadium improvements. The other fromt he Big 10/SEC.

If one or both of those come through, they will have enough available cash to fire Prison Mike.

I’m doubtful on the big ten bailout, because the big ten makes new members buy it with something like a quarter of the payout for ten years or something crazy. They would likely get less from the big ten as a new member than they would from their ACC payout. Would the state be dumb enough to throw them money? Probably

Also, can someone give me a legit argument why the Big Ten or SEC would want FSU rn?

It’d be like picking up the old high school cheerleader because she was hot 15 years ago but now is 200+lbs with two baby daddies.

One problem with that line of thinking.

You’d be entrusting Norvell and his band of merry men to properly ID those recruits.

It's not just "cash-in-pocket", it's (a) the future revenue certainty, and (b) the alum/booster excitement that would be generated.

Right now, F$U is just a motionless ship in still waters. Stuck. No movement.

They need a push (that I'm really hoping they don't get).

Big 10 MIGHT want F$U as part of a larger play within the SE.

SEC MIGHT take F$U as a defensive mechanism if the Big 10 "only" takes Miami in the state of Florida.

Not disagreeing with your "hotness" analogy, but Indiana has proven that even an ugly chick can get hot after the right facelift.
