Northwestern and Rutgers would gladly take them in the B10, while Vandy and Miss St would endorse them in the SEC. They all move up the ladder if you add an extra rung at the bottom.

How much cache are those programs holding in their respective conferences? Purely in name recognition it makes sense. But if they are in the red as far as has been reported, what’s the advantage of grabbing them?

Obviously if deck chairs start moving again they’ll get grabbed. It’s just purely going to be based on the potential of them figuring things out and their history. None of it will be related to any success they’ve marginally had in any sport the last decade.

I may be reading wrong but I think what he is saying is like if they first him last year they owed him say 60 million, the assumption was that was way too expensive so wait a year then fire him this year but the poster seems to be insinuating that buyout is heavily back loaded so by waiting a year they only pay him 58 million instead of 60 mil so the difference was only 2 mil when the harm to the program is likely outweighing the pennies they are saving.

1. Hire and place really cute young guys in the athletic building and a private detective hoping Mikie Hugs takes the bait and you can fire him for cause.

2. If 1 fails, fire him the day after he gets obliterated by the Canes. Don’t try to hire a big name, go the Cignetti route and hire a low G5 or even FCS guy that costs a penny but is a great talent evaluator. Surround him with tape junkies and recruiters who will work 100 hours a week finding hidden gem 3 stars that don’t expect NIL.

3. Use portal heavily in same way since the moment a kid starts performing well he’ll go to a richer program. 2/3rds of the kids that enter the portal never exit. There’s talent there if you have guys that know how to evaluate. Lots of ex FL high schoolers would come home if they could.

4. Live to fight another day.
 
I hope I'm not the only one, but I'm kind of strangely looking forward to Florida State's season opener against New Mexico State. Norvell is coaching for his life taking the OC reins back, and are we gonna get fool's gold like we did last year when they played Kent State and East Texas A&M, or are we going to see the dumpster fire get worse?
 
I was messing around on the class calculator on 247 and gave the delusionoles the benefit of the doubt by picking up 7 of their remaining prospects. Their class would only get to about 205 in team rankings with 14 commits which would put them in the “load more” section. This is just going to continue to set the program back further and further.
