I would be totally shocked if FSU was able to convince Cignetti to leave Indiana. Indiana has a whole lot more money than people realize and Cignetti has convinced them to open the flood gates in booster money to football and not just basketball. And in this Reddit thread, one of the top comments is an Indiana flair that talks about how 100% of ALL athletic scholarships at IU are funded by private donations and not a single dime with revenue. Basically what I'm saying is that until FSU fixes their problems, they're gonna be continuing to make G5 hires like Mike Norvell and hope for the best.

 
Lol just saw a clip of Danny “the Dumbass” Kannel, saying we’ve got a better chance of missing bowl eligibility than winning the ACC. His reasoning (1) Carson Beck’s injury is apparently permanent and debilitating, basically and (2) our WR group isn’t what it was last year (no ****). I know all these CFB guys have biases, but the guy’s seething hatred for us eliminates any claim of objectivity on his part.

A reminder, this guy had FSU as a CFP team last year, despite all the red flags we all talked about. One of the worst CFB guys out there.

Danny “the Dumbass” Kannel. Love it. Fits him perfectly. He is actually tolerable on his radio show “Dusty & Danny in the Morning.” He’s usually complimentary towards us. Not sure if the clip came from there, but he’s typically level headed and fair on his show.

It’s his tweets and posts on other forums where he completely goes off the rails. Just some wild takes and usually emotional. Can’t stand him from that. If he would just stick to his radio show, he wouldn’t be that bad for a former Nole.

I love it when guys like him have garbage takes cause it makes them easy to laugh at and the the rest of CFB can see what kind of crappy analyst they are .

Kannel, and several other for that matter, do this on purpose to get engagement and get their mentions up. Its a business decision. Making a mockery of yourself can pay big $ if you are good at it. Look at skip bayless

I did not because of how badly Fuente turned out to be at Va Tech. But to be fair, the options were really limited at the time. Venables probably best choice. Mullen was available. We could have tried for Brohm. A lot of people (including me) like Dino Babers, which would have been a really bad choice. Some people were still calling for Butch.

I would have taken any of the above over Manny though, even Norvell. You don't take a failing DC (in terms of recruiting at the minimum) from a failing coaching staff and promote him. I mean, WTF?

Now once we booted Manny, I was all in on Mario with Lane as the Plan B. No way would I have wanted Norvell over those two.

Currently, they have zero-point-zero 4-star OLs. That means, to get to 2-3 4-star OLs, they will need to get verbals from 2-3 4-star OLs.

Currently, F$U is listed as "Warm" with exactly ONE offensive line recruit.
