That reminds me in some respects of the Golden Era...partially. We were never that down. Not like that.

Creme de le creme will be flyers posted on campus for tryouts for regular students to fill multiple roster positions.

Golden would actually get a lot of early top tier recruits and they would just decomit as the year went on

Agreed. 13 and 14 classes for Golden were shaping up to be monstrous til we **** the bed on the field. Even 2012, outside of Amari, he did well in SFLA that cycle including two 5 stars.

In this new era of CFB schools that want to compete and get to the top need major $$$. They don’t have it, or any plan to fundraise/bring in new donors. You also can’t win with that staff they have. The question on whether a staff is worth anything is whether the staff would be at any other P5 school if not for their current role. In years past for us the answer was a massive no. For fsu, that answer is also a big no.

When you don’t have money, are loaded with G5 talent, and have G5 coaches, you can’t compete in this new era. FSU won’t be competing with anyone for the next 4-5 years at the least. If Mike gets 6 wins he’s back in 2023. Not to mention, with last year’s coaching carousel, no big names will be on the market for a few years.

On the recruiting front, Robinson had a busy June and visited several schools across the country including Alabama, Arizona State, Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Washington.

“At this point in my life and obviously things can change, but those are the schools I’m most interested in,” Robinson said. “I had great trips to all those schools but tough to compare them.
