I still think they're stuck with him until at least the end of the season. His buyout is the same right now that it was 8 months ago. If they had the money to fire him, he wouldn't be there.

There's gotta be something else going on. It makes no sense to waste an entire season just so they can pay 5 million less in buyout money. That's nothing.

They're screwed no matter how you look at it. Best case, they're also waiting for some other HC's buyout to drop. But even IF that's true, it still means they're too broke to make a move when they need to.

They already committed to him this season. So, might as well save the five million and let hm take the Ls. Their biggest issue will be attracting the next coach. Their AD has is clueless in regards the new reality of the portal and NIL. He will be a huge hinderance in he process and I wouldn't be surprise if they are both fired at season's end.

This guy is a ******* idiot. If Miami could reverse the outcome of 9 plays per game, we would be averaging 10 wins per season for the last 45 seasons...

Agree that if it was a money thing they would’ve fired him before the season so why do it now. But, the secret sauce might be the absolute toxic nature that surrounds the program right now. You can’t have your HC getting booed unmercifully every time he’s on the Jumbotron. That kind of stuff might force them to pull the trigger before they wanted to. And, it’s only gonna get worse because they’re gonna get their legs jacked back in Tuscaloosa.
