Problem for them is that is too late. Pretty much all of the top players sign in the early signing period. Then you have 1 one shortened portal period in January. No way you can wait to December to assess things, fire Norvell and find a new coach and not have that effect your team talent level. Just further setting the next guy up to fail and continue to bring the tears. There is a reason so many teams are pulling the trigger mid-season but anything that brings misery to the Noles is good in my book.

There's nothing to "assess." They know he's ***. They're just hoping and praying that he can win 7ish games so they can justify bringing him back another year and get the buyout down even more.
