Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

Goofiest program in the country, hands down.
From the turnover purse, to the *** locker room dances, tic-toc videos, terrible edits, misspellings on offers letter, Norvels back runs and corny music when he meets recruits, the corny birthday songs. etc. List goes on and on.
Can’t understand why any highly rated recruit would consider that goofy program. Bunch of weirdos.

9 wins can mean a roof or a floor. Randy Shannon won 9 games, Al Golden won 9 games, Mark Richt won 10 games, Manny Diaz won 8 games when we played 11. Those are our last 4 coaches. If those 9 wins dont translate to better recruiting, its gonna be your ceiling. The portal can change things of course but unless you are getting the level of recruits USC got last season, its difficult to get those extra 1 or 2 wins to improve on what you did. FSU fans will learn the hardway. Norvell had 2 losing seasons before. Now he a playoff coach
Wins ain’t getting u recruits, never has never will

Norvell’s strategy reminds me of Manny’s tenure here. Yeah he was able to slap together a couple winning seasons leaning heavily on transfers but after a while all those roster holes got harder and harder to plug with transfers. You have to be able to build a roster with mostly high school recruits. Good transfers are one year rentals. Maybe two years if you’re lucky. You’re constantly trying to plug holes in your roster with guys who aren’t going to be around more than a year. It’s unsustainable.
Wasn’t it Dan Snyder who would load up his roster on junco transfers every year? I don’t think that worked out too well for him.

It was Bill Snyder at Kansas State and it actually worked really well for him. Now, this was at a school that was historically terrible so building a program that could manage to finish the year ranked was a huge deal for them. He’d sign a ton of transfers and schedule every single cupcake he could and they managed to have a nice run where they were one of the better teams for a while.

FSU is a totally different scenario. We’re talking about a traditional power with three national titles in the last 30 years. They have no excuse to be using the Bill Snyder method.
