Tackling is more important for corners now than ever before. Most teams play some form of nickel a majority of the game. More passing means more tackles by defensive backs. You can’t just rely on your linebackers to make all the tackles. Plus receivers are generally more physical now than 20 years ago. There’s a reason why the league likes 6’1 210 lb cornerbacks now and the little guys get relegated to slot duty on most teams

ST was right there with Reed IMO. Ed might have been smarter but ST was a better athlete.
