So, the data actually suggests it's easier to win with Spread offenses ...

But, yeah ... Spread offenses don't work at a high level, or against quality teams.

LOL

Some of y'all ... SMH ... LOL

How many Spread Teams won a NC in the last 10 years?

I'll Wait!

florida, texas, auburn and ohio state. so 5 of 10. i'll wait.

Wrong Again! Only UF 2008 was close to pure spread.

UF 06 relied on Chris Leak's Arm. Not pure Spread! They had Tebow packages....he wasn't the starter.

Texas, Auburn OSU were/are PS teams with Athletic QBs. Being in the Gun does not make you a Spread Team, Fool!

Those QB's spent a great deal of time under Center.

See you think you are being Smart, but you are Proving you are Unintelligent!

I'll Answer like this: Amari Cooper and Calvin Ridley ran to Bama's Pro Style Offense. Cooper is cashing NFL Checks and Ridley will be to.

****, that dusty PS Offense!

Stop!

How many pro style offenses are among the total offense leaders in FBS?

Since Amari Cooper is cashing NFL checks and Ridley will be too means Miami needs to run a pro set? Potato logic.

There will be 1 NC this year....................IT WILL NOT BE A FINESSE TEAM!

i will end the convo with this

remember in the U when bernie says "nebraska had NEVER seen a pro sytle offense". seems like miami cant understand the spread offense on either side of the ball under the two regimes.

this isnt the NFL. player athleticism differs from team to team in the NCAA. we should have the advantage based on our talent pool. yet we cant come up with an offense, or defense, that uses the talent. one would think if you have guys that are more athletic you would want to spread them out and make it harder to cover the field. teams load up the tackle box and simply stop us there.

it is time for a change. kaaya isnt dorsey, he isnt bernie, he isnt vinny and he isnt kelly. he isnt even close. the chances you get a QB as good as any of those guys is 1-5%. put in a better system.

Wrong......We played good defense under RS. Our O was the problem!

NEWSFLASH. WE HAD NO QB AND THE IDIOTS RAN THE SAME OFFENSE WE ALWAYS RAN.

Malzauhn was the oc at auburn when cam was there. Auburn was running the same offense they are now. Auburn was not a pro style O. In 08 uf wasn't close to a pure spread becauase they were a spread. Urban is running the same system at ohio st. Texas was a spread O when vince young was there. He might have been under center at times but they were mostly spread.

Lmao @ Sonny Wrong

What type of offense did 2015 Ohio St./Oregon run?

AGAIN, I watch games as a former Player.....You watch games while you drink beer and Smoke weed.

So, we will have to agree that we see it differently.

All Good!

why dont you tell us how a 3rd string qb won a title?

why dont you tell us how when the OC left the offense got worse?

why dont you tell us how smash mouth bama got owned by a spread offense?

why dont you tell us how herman had a 3rd string QB beat a team that beat an SEC team?

why dont you tell us about how former players are jaded and ignorant?

why dont you tell us how a 3rd string qb won a title? He Was Prepared to Win.

why dont you tell us how when the OC left the offense got worse? Did it get worse or did the opponents get better, Fool?

why dont you tell us how smash mouth bama got owned by a spread offense? They did not!

why dont you tell us how herman had a 3rd string QB beat a team that beat an SEC team? He was prepared to beat a team that beat a SEC team with 3 LOSSES

why dont you tell us about how former players are jaded and ignorant? WE ARE NOT! WannaBees Like You Are!

Oregon is the farthest thing from finesse, especially under Kelly they weren't. Their line is consistently one of the net and most physical in the country. Just because they run a zone blocking scheme and utilize mobile QB doesn't make them a finesse team.

Where do people get tho shid? Oregons line sux and always has. You can't name two of their lineman drafted In the last five years. Totally finesse. And they get DOMINATED any time they play a team with a good D tackle or Sde. Fairley single handedly dominated their line in auburns ship. Boss took over in osu's. Oregon has never had a physical o line. Just leaner and quicker. The gimmick of the scheme with good skill position players is where the success lies. Mostly finesse.

Ohio w may spread you out.... But its still a power run game. Their the only team in college football who run a successful power run game from a spread attack. The only team.

And bama runs a 3-4. So running on them doesn't equate to power, just like we see with donofrio, you spread those big *** linebackers out and you read option the team to death.

You see what happens when you line up in pro set again bama and try to run.... You get fournette... 9 carries for 9 yards. No one is physically running through bama. Gotta spread them out or use finesse.

Umm no.... Mark whipple was running the spread air Coryell system. We have never run that crap. It's one of the worst offenses to use in todays game with the speed of the D line. Hence why jacory was often sacked, hurried, and intercepted. So you're wrong AF. If jedd fisch was oc Randy Shannon wins 10 plus games. Mark Whipple was on of the worst coaches ever.

maybe i was wrong. we sucked offensively either way.

Well it looks like everyone is right
Urban Meyer: 'It cracks me up when people say we're spread option'
According to Urban himself he used to run the spread, now it's a hybrid.

Urban Meyer said:
“But that’s not a big part of our offense anymore. When you hear ‘spread option,’ it cracks me up when I hear that. We don’t run option very much at all. It’s more of a pro-style from spread sets. It’s a much different offense than it was years ago.”

I guess Urban is Wrong. LOL

People IGNORANTLY think OSU is Spread like they IGNORANTLY think is Bama is a 3-4 team. Bama runs more way more 4-3 than 3-4.

Well he said he used to run the spread. So at the very least his Utah and Uif team were probably spread teams. He also runs his offense out of spread sets. The key is to keep innovating and keep improving and not get stuck in the past.

People act as.though you can't be explosive and put up major points in a pro style offense. Just look at our 01 team. BBB

2001 did that.......Johnson, Beard, Jones and Sands shared the field at once......NOTHING NEW!
