remember in the U when bernie says "nebraska had NEVER seen a pro sytle offense". seems like miami cant understand the spread offense on either side of the ball under the two regimes.

this isnt the NFL. player athleticism differs from team to team in the NCAA. we should have the advantage based on our talent pool. yet we cant come up with an offense, or defense, that uses the talent. one would think if you have guys that are more athletic you would want to spread them out and make it harder to cover the field. teams load up the tackle box and simply stop us there.

it is time for a change. kaaya isnt dorsey, he isnt bernie, he isnt vinny and he isnt kelly. he isnt even close. the chances you get a QB as good as any of those guys is 1-5%. put in a better system.

i don't mind spread elements.. but damnit if i don't like to see a 2 tight end set, or an offset I.. etc.etc.etc.. on occasion. when you're on the one yard line running a draw play.. wtf.

it doesn't have to be 3 yards and a cloud of smoke, but i don't want this BS spread where every time we need a yard we can't just man up and take it.

i also have no desire to watch can't pass QBs...

Lmao @ anyone thinking Oregon is a finesse team. You clearly don't watch them play ever. Royce Freeman run the ball a **** ton and is one of the most physical backs in the country.

The be a "power" team in today's CFB landscape you need 2 things. A big, powerful back like Derrick Henry, Fournette etc. and a monsterous OL. 2 things that SoFla doesn't produce regularly. There's no reason for Miami not to be a spread team whatsoever. It plays to the talent in our area and their strengths. Stop trying to live in 2001, the game is different.

The game is only different because we have not been in it. Our 2001 team would make short work of all these modern things and NC game would come down to Bama mass against our speed. Assuming we have 2 proper DTs, we win 7 out of 10 in that battle. DTs and a Miami QB are essential.

Bama would have to get their first. Their last two bowl games have featured spread offense opponents and losses.

True. I was projecting into future a little, where all serious contenders would have been force to change by humiliating defeats by our defense. Bama's defense is clearly not capable of handling uptempo and or spread very well. Too big and slow. But that is fine, let some spread or uptempo take them out -- easier for us in NC game then.
