No rest for the weary!

The tournament has been damned entertaining that last few years. We've been in it every time. In fact, we won the tournament two years ago, but the cloud held us out.

I have a very good feeling that this is the year we finally break through and win the division.

Lots of tournament games left, but we are in a good position, controlling our own destiny.

This thread is not the place for bashing the staff.

This is for fans of the games. People who live to enjoy college football. People who get excited the closer it gets to Saturdays.

X's and O's will take care of themselves. Having a good chance to win in front of a packed crowd and a national TV audience is exhilarating!
Every thread is about bashing the staff. Mods aren't doing a **** thing about it.

We're doing something about it, trust me. I'm fixing a ham and cheese sandwich right now, in fact. That's called getting things done.

I'm continually lmao at these posts over the past couple of days. But the line that stands above all of them: "The Xs and Os will take care of themselves." Pure gold.

This thread has made my day.

Sadly, sarcasm is about all we real fans have as far as football is concerned.

I can't believe top-ranked Duke wasn't on the weekly meltdown material this week. I guess they don't consider rivalries to be of legit material. You can toss out the record books when Miami and Duke get together!

Beating GT will not mean Miami is back. It will be a good step in the right direction, but to "be back" Miami needs to just about win out or win all but the FSU game and keep it close all the way throughout.

If the Duke game was truly our defense improving for good, I don't think it is a huge stretch to expect us to finish 9-3. With the way FSU has played and it being a rivalry game in Miami this year paired with Miami's D being for real, then an upset isn't out of the picture either. But that has a lot of variables that need to happen for that to even have a shot at happening. Right now GT needs to be the focus. If the D shows up again against GT and looks great, then they show up again against Cinci, then I think 9-3 is very very possible. A 9-3 season would definitely be a huge step for the program getting back to national relevancy. It certainly isn't impossible. With the talent on this team, 9-3 should happen. With the defense we have seen the last 4 years outside of last week's game, 9-3 is a bit of a stretch right now.

Anyways, I feel like I am getting redundant. So basically if Miami's defense looks just as good the next two games as they did against Duke, then I think we can start feeling good about the program trending upward and a 9-3 season is very obtainable and a 10-2 season would definitely have a chance of happening as long as Kaaya continues to grow and that defense is real. But I don't want to get ahead of myself and I am in no way saying Miami is going 10-2.
The only thing "trending upward" in this thread is sarcasm. Is Lewis Black a cane fan or just trolling.

Remember in 1992 when we beat FSU at home then the following week went on the road and beat Penn State? The build up and intensity of these two games have the same feel to me. I'm just glad we're back to playing these big time games. I don't know if you guys have really thought about it but if we beat GT, we have a legit shot at winning the coastal. The coastal!! Life is good canes fans.

Not worried....the option is the only thing doritos can stop.

He completely shut down GT last year. I think they had around 150 yards and 14 points.

El Foldo's new name is The Bee Keeper. He should corch this game in a white suit with a mesh mask and show up with one of those smoke puffer machines.
Even funnier is the idea some have that D'Onofrio owned Navy. Temple was 1-3 against Navy while D'O was at Temple.

But Donofrio kept every one of those games close! That's really all you can hope for. Nothing like a kickass moral victory against a hated rival.

This team is like watching a rollercoaster. High low, high, low. Low high, then you get stuck in that weird wind around thing that feels like you're going down the drain. Then you get a little whiplash and sue the six flags for 7 figures.
