CJ Daniels was never brought in or viewed to be a #1 WRAre you purposely disregarding Daniels?
CJ Daniels was never brought in or viewed to be a #1 WRAre you purposely disregarding Daniels?
Every year there is a weak position group that doesn’t get addressed till the following year. This is playing out exactly like last years CB room
Are you purposely not reading?
I said it wasn't an apples-to-apples comparison because Clemson doesn't take Portal transfers.
More importantly, if you think that the Miami coaches and Carson Beck are SOOOOOO confident in CJ Daniels, then why were they out there trying to entice a WR1 to jump in the Portal?
Oh, right, the real problem here is that I'm "purposely disregarding" CJ Daniels. Why don't you talk to the coaches about that, sport?
Regarding your point 2.For me the biggest takeaways from the offseason portals
1. Winter portal season all day over spring. You can’t hope new guys pop in after spring. Spring should be about retaining your talent (which we did do a pretty good job overall). But shoot your shot in winter.
2. The earlier you have a QB, the better off you transfer game will be. It’s paramount that we get Nickel some snaps in meaningless games this year, if only to be certain we got the right guy and then sell the promise of him in the same way Uf did with Lagway.
3. Hopefully start listening sooner to Memnon and CoachMacho as they are either constantly evaluating/watching players from all over or know who’s who in the zoo as far as the local scene goes. Same with gogeta.
We do these things next year we will be dominant in the transfer portal game where we need to be.
He needs to reevaluate that strategymario won't overpay. period. he has a few guys every cycle he will go all in on.
Fans need to just get used to it
I never said he was. I was just asking in regards to his comparison. I think original point was that Clemson had Antonio Williams, some solid production, and nothing else behind it. The other names was Troy stalleto had some catches. I think Antonio Williams, Stalleto, and those freshman is not far off from our room today Daniels, Marion, JoJo and some promising freshman.CJ Daniels was never brought in or viewed to be a #1 WR
He does overpay. This is one of the biggest misconceptions being spread out there. And when he doesn’t “overpay” then our hit rate diminishes significantly.mario won't overpay. period. he has a few guys every cycle he will go all in on.

Ok. Seems reasonable, but when you’ve paid $4M (overpaid or not just read all the CIS posts for right answer lol) for a QB1, now’s not the time to salary cap his potential weapons. It’s like buying the car without the transmission.mario won't overpay. period. he has a few guys every cycle he will go all in on.

We didn’t play everyone cause they wanted to preserve their redshirts.Regarding your point 2.
Infuriating watching Cam take all these excess late 4th quarter snaps to just hand the ball off.
Then putting Emory in to hand the ball off 10 plays in a row.
Then, when every game comes down to a last second miracle, Emory can't get reps.
And we're left with a backup QB who can't throw the ball.
What are these coaches thinking?
Serious question, how sophisticated is the analytics capabilities in the athletic department at UM? Advanced analytics are a powerful weapon for competitive advantage at top programs in the age of NIL, but they must be advanced, which can be expensive. Quality analytics lead to less bloviating, less emotion, and less room for really stupid moves. He does overpay. This is one of the biggest misconceptions being spread out there. With so question marks on our team, Can we stop calling Mario and elite recruiter?Every year there is a weak position group that doesn’t get addressed till the following year.
Pretty much non existent. But Working on itSerious question, how sophisticated is the analytics capabilities in the athletic department at UM? Our Canes lost to GT and Syracuse and Iowa St last year.Serious question, how sophisticated is the analytics capabilities in the athletic department at UM? We stunted on 1st and 10 against Cuse when no one but the staph thought they might do anything but run the ball. Our Canes lost to GT and Syracuse and Iowa St last year.
How sophisticated can it possibly be?
I'd say <70 IQ
We would have a Top 5 roster if it was equivalent to the NIL we pay outmario won't overpay. period. he has a few guys every cycle he will go all in on.

That's a serious problem, if true. I'm aware of a service used by a number of programs, including Alabama. It's essentially an army of very expensive data scientists. The founder cited building the Bama basketball roster that got them to the final four, and identifying/pulling Isaiah Horton in football. Point is, this is going the way of Money Ball.Pretty much non existent. But Working on it

Wow. It was just an honest question to your point. Not sure the need to crash out here. You seem on edge and triggered by the whole discussion so I won’t even bother.
