But is our HR org chart working the way it is supposed to? Thinking of how Zo was higher up but had his opinion cast aside.Yes. Yes he did.

Yup. And I get why we let him go if he was demanding absurd money & wanted to be WR1 next year.Horton is not a #1 WR. I truly don’t get that narrative. Hurts to lose the production. Horton, who was healthy was replaced by Daniels who played through injury at lsu..had 200 less yards than a healthy zay & 5 tds less.

**** all of you
You’re smart not to deal with this anymore.

its not the truth - we have talented guys that have great experience last year (not in games) but they got to see X, horton, george prepare for everygame and practice with cam etcYou try explaining that to Carson Beck, after the year he just had at Georgia.
I know you're biased as ****, and I like our young WRs as much as anyone. But we are spending $4M on Carson Beck for ONE YEAR and he "had" some very talented WRs at Georgia in 2024...who were #1 in the country in dropped passes.
Someday, JoJo may be the greatest WR to ever come out of Miami, for all anyone knows. But at the moment, he has a very thin college resume when it comes to establishing "will this guy catch my passes or not".
So stop *****ing and moaning every time someone says we need a WR1 to play IMMEDIATELY over JoJo and Malachi. It's the truth, whether you acknowledge it or not.
Wish him well too. That RZ drop vs Cuse summed up his last month of Football for us. Bottom line, CJ Daniels can replace that production & player type.Yup. And I get why we let him go if he was demanding absurd money & wanted to be WR1 next year.
He had perfect opportunity to show out at the end of the year and had 10 catches for 68 yards in the last 3 games. DCs were paying tons of attention to X to try to limit him and Sam Brown became increasingly unreliable. If Horton were potentially a #1 WR (or even WR2) he'd have seized the opportunity. He didn't.
Wish him well at Bama though, as he clearly worked hard here and improved a lot from when he arrived.

that goes a long way on top of the talent which is way higher then what we had. - jojo will get drafted - moore will get drafted --- baby jesus will get drafted --- all facts. Beck may not like it but we will be more then fine
you're acting as if they are immigrants coming to a different country not knowing a certain languageThis is the part where you lose all credibility:
great experience last year (not in games)
Hilarious.
The issue is whether Carson Beck feels confident throwing to guys with nearly zero college production (thus far). Not about whether Jojo had some really awesome life experiences last year.
By your definition, Ohio Taint will have the best WRs in the country, simply from watching Jeremiah Smith practice with Will Howard.
Do you know how dumb that sounds?
As well as stating "as facts" that three of our freshmen WRs will get drafted, when you have no ******* clue whether that will happen.
You just make **** up and label your vomit as "facts".
Smh tough crowd. Mopes vs slurps all throughout this thread. Got folks claiming this a 7/8 win roster..it’s not. Especially the ceiling of this team in the ACC. Same crowd of mopes said that this time last szn. Plenty were skeptical of cam ward as well. Now, almost a year later, cam ward went no.1 overall..his replacement is Carson Beck who was projected 1st rd until UGA forgot how to run the ball & catch the ball. Still, a proven starter with legit (not TVd message board projections) NFL future.
with this portal cycle, we’ve addressed every position we thought we needed to address
(so far, S is the last piece) with some of the top AVAILABLE GUYS this cycle.
With all due respect, there are several possible outcomes in between "whiffing" (which we have done with several targets) and a "home run" (landing an elite difference-maker). There are singles and doubles and triples too.
Unfortunately, much like the baseball game of today, everyone wants to focus on strikeouts and home runs. Very few play for singles and doubles and triples any longer, and fans don't pay much attention.
Right now, I just don't want to whiff. I'm also fine with piling up singles and doubles and triples.
It will be worse and that’s bc it was the #1 offense last year. Imma bet on it that it will still be top 10. Outside of not having Barrow the front 7 is better. The DT is a question mark, Blay, Moten, Scott, though I think they will be effective not enough ready bodies in that room. Maybe they’ll get another depth piece, or Reuben Bain can potentially turn into a DT, or both.I think the coaching is better. I think we added better players than we had to the back end of the defense. I fear the front 7, particularly up the middle on defense, and I think we got worse on offense, but that’s just my opinion and I hope to be wrong. We’ll see though.
What about LB’s?It will be worse and that’s bc it was the #1 offense last year. Imma bet on it that it will still be top 10. Outside of not having Barrow the front 7 is better. Ill take our wr core over everybody else's too... baby jesus Jojo ny carr moore.. ride and die with them.. if i thought they were *** I'd say itLast season at this time, this was Clemson's offense:
3rd year Antonio Williams, coming off an injury riddled 2023 season where he averaged 10 YPC
3rd year Tony Stellato, he of 300 career yards receiving
True Freshman TJ Moore -- Elite recruit, 5-star #5 overall receiver
True Freshman Bryant Wesco -- High 4-star, #13 overall receiver
Lumbering *** Jake Barstool
All led by a guy who, unanimously, sucked absolute *** in Cade Klubnik.
They won the ACC, had the 18th best scoring offense in America, and were Top 40 in Yards Per Play.
All numbers I would take in a heartbeat this year for Miami (33.5 PPG).
I obviously have no idea, but was their board just complete widespread panic (great band, btw) at this time last year? Were they all calling each other names and their coaches ******* losers because they didn't get a portal "WR1"? Or did they put some faith that their coaches and players could gel and produce a competent offense?
Obviously this doesn't mean Miami is going to be as good or better than Clemson was on offense last year, but Trader and Carr were pretty **** close to Moore and Wesco in the rankings, and they both have a year in a college S&C program and this offense under their belts. It's not like we have a room full of walk-ons. They just don't have college production. Yet. Neither did Clemson, for the most part.
My point is, this happens EVERY YEAR in college football. For its entirety. That's the beauty of the sport. We don't get to sign these guys to 10-year contracts. Recruit, coach, develop, lead, stockpile talent. I'll take Beck over Klubnik. I'll take our OL over theirs. I'll take Fletcher and Lyle over Mafah and Jay Haynes (although Mafah is a good player).
There are tons of talented kids here. Go make it work. We sure as **** did last year.
