Gotcha, so once Bryce Fitzgerald is on campus that will be more appropriate.Telling me how many wins and losses this team will have in April is the sound logic I live for on CIS

No, it’s a trivial opinion and I couldnt care less how many games our fanbase tries to predict us to win.Gotcha, so once Bryce Fitzgerald is on campus that will be more appropriate.
Figured you might want to throw up some more since 8 wins offends you. I'll keep you in mind going forward. No, it’s a trivial opinion and I couldnt care less how many games our fanbase tries to predict us to win.
Thanks for thinking of me out of the blue and tagging me though.
The problem is the hate some of these mopes have for Mario doesn't allow them to see this. Only time will tell and one way or another there will be plenty of Crow to be served.Fair enough. I’m not interested in spiking the ball in your face if you’re wrong. I’m guessing we both hope you are. I tell ya, maybe I’m way off, but the panic about the roster isn’t resonating with me. I appreciate that the spring portal hasn’t gone as well as expected, but also think this is a very good football team.

What exactly has Mario done to quite said mopes. His record compared to Manny's with massive resources advantage is almost identically. He had the #1 draft pick at QB with plenty of weapons and managed not to make the conference championship at least. I know the defense was awful, but it's ultimately his responsibility to make sure we have the talent in the secondary. That wasn't done very well last year and it cost us. Fast forward to this year, we are seeing the same script play out at strengthening up the DT rotation, 1WR, and S. You are what your records says and Mario's criticism is deserved up to this point based of W/L and track record.
W-L totals, very little.
W-L vector, significantly better though many will argue that's because he grossly underperformed in the 7-6 2023 season. But factually better.
Draft: significantly better, though many will argue that's through Manny recruits and portal. Still factually better.
Blue Chip ratio: significantly better.
You have to squint real hard sideways with one eye to claim Mario has done the same or worse than Mario. That said, what really matters is this year, when there are only 2 guys left from Manny's roster (Chase Smith and Ryan Rodriguez). If he backslides, then we have a real problem.
I agree with some of your points and that Mario still has some to room to quite his doubters. However, if you deep dive into the specifics I think there's reasons for the negativity and deservedly so. Has the overall talent on the team improved (Blue Chip Ratio)? Sure, and that goes into why the performance cannot be excused.
I'm assuming you will also agree that if we make the playoffs, those concerns go away?
.
Here’s the thing. Look at the top p4 offense last year. How many of them had WR1 or an elite guy, before the season
1. Miami
- before the year and after it was X. I think we can agree he wasnt necessarily WR1 by this offseason standards. Great year and WR1 numbers. But we had an amazing QB with solid core.
2. Ole Miss
- Ill give you tre Harris
3. Syracuse
- Leading Receiver Meeks and then Pena. Before the year, Meeks had 132 career yards in 3 years at Georgia. Pena, 268 in 4 years.
4. Texas Tech
- Josh Kelly. Entered after 900 yards at WSU. 2. Was Caleb Douglas with 300 yards in two seasons
5. Arkansas
- Andrew Armstrong returned after 700 yards. Teslaa 300 yards career yards.
6. Clemson
- Antonio Williams with 800 yards in 2 years. Wesco and TJ Moore obviously zero yards
Not by rankings, did these teams have “WR1”? Penn state, Georgia, ASU, SMU, Tenn?
My point, similar to the above, do you NEED a “WR1”. You are able to get WR1 production out of guys that are not your prototypical WR1.
Take Syracuse as a strong example. Their 2 leading receivers had little to no production before the year. Clemson as well, had a solid returner and then young guys.
I wanted a WR1 like everyone here. And it is disappointing we weren’t able to get one. It makes things easier. But to act like the season will be a failure because of it, is massive overreaction. There’s talent on the room. And the need to step up

It’s the same as last year with CB. Mario wanted one of the top 2, didn’t get one and then passed on 5 or 6 CBs that were a notch below. Those guys ended up being huge contributors to their teams.
And the apologists here said, “People are overreacting. CB will not be the difference between making the playoffs or sitting at home.”

Ward was a good enough QB he could make any WR look good. Was like Brady with the Patriots. Obviously it was better when he had Randy Moss, but he was fine without a WR1. Beck is good but he’s not at that level. I think not giving him a WR1 is going to be a huge problem, especially as I don’t believe we have the RB talent we had last year. Teams won’t bite on play action.
I think we can agree the WR is not the same as that.
You don’t know who the **** I am so go **** yourself. If you had a clue you wouldn’t even try this stupid ****. I don’t come on here and post on the board anymore really because of **** sucking ******* like you who can’t take a ******* honest opinion now stick a ******* shotgun in your ****sucking mouth and pull the ******* trigger
We have good prospects but not many WRs with games under their belt. Bringing in a one year rental QB into a new scheme with no proven WRs is not a recipe for success.
Sucks that Cristobal let Horton walk. This isn’t revisionist history. During the season I said Horton was showing WR1 abilities and it was great we had developed our own future star. He knew his value, miami made a bad decision not to pay him.
