Josh Pate on his pod yesterday did confirm he was at UMs night practice this week and said the following:
- Miami’s OL and DL look like top end SEC teams
- He wishes he could tell you what he saw but the price of seeing it was not to say
- He’s not allowed to say much else other than he believes we did on every major portal signee but then qualified with doesn’t mean they’ll be a great team
Mario isn’t allowing anything out right now 🤣

The part that jumped out was that he said we are not going to have to be a QB driven team even though we have Ward. He seemed to insinuate that Martinez and our RB depth are pretty high caliber. That would be awesome. My take is that Martinez will have the best season of all the transfers. Could see a 1,200-10 TD season for sure
 
When you're good, you don't give a crap who watches what you're doing.

I don't really care, I don't read even 5 percent of the Fall or Spring stuff anymore.

I've said for a decade plus, this school doesn't know how to build excitement for this team.. It's stuff like this that adds fuel to that idea.

Reporters know what they can let out and what they can't.. The media meets with us before the Spring and Fall, at which time what our expectations are. They also know far more than they put to print. It's not a big deal, everyone gets it and if there's a problem, their access can be pulled.
 
I know, for a fact, that a "media member" was invited to and attended practice on Wednesday. Isn't Pate also there currently? DMoney doesn't have access? It's by no means a complete blackout. Apparently, it's just people Mario doesn't want that are not there - his prerogative.

I see the problem more along the lines of the toddler throwing a tantrum when he doesn't get his sugar. This agita is all because we don't get to watch the stretching videos? Seeing Reese Poffenbarger throw into a net really "drives fan engagement"? Bull ****. We will all be there on 8/31, no matter what.

Other media personnel are getting in, friends of the program and NFL scouts are getting in. It's local media, team media. I don't even know what Geo said and I think it was more than just him that triggered them. You better succeed at what you are doing when you make enemies through the media, even web media. Has someone ever trained the media in history? Program's need the media, even web media. I personally think the NCAA should make injury reports mandatory like the NFL.

I'm saying man. It's like "insiders" (whom I appreciate) ever and I mean EVER holding anyone hostage with inside info.

We will all see the product on the field.

We will all see signing day.

Mike Ryan was also there Wednesday I think he mentioned it on the pod this week with D$

I stand by saying this is the most important season of my fandom

Normally that’s just hyperbolic nonsense but a lot rides on this one
