No media at Greentree right now?

People are already starting to crown us with expectations of 11 wins and an ACC title. I'm sure Mario hates the outside noise and just wants to control the headspace of players more than anything else. Bunker Mentality.

What do you need to know that is so important that the media provides about practise?

I don’t give a **** about any practice report. It doesn’t really matter anyways. It’s all about the football games.

Why would anyone out side of the media who have a job to do actually care if they are locked out

Fans have right to enjoy practices and scrimmages,its part of what we like to do.
There is very little to gain( if anything) from keeping all under wraps.
Its not like we are coming out with the wishbone for UF game.
Whatever offense and defense we will be running is well known to our opponents ,,we are not going to have an advantage of any kind.

When we were winning 5 championships,practices were open to the public.
Its only after we hired multiple incompetent coaches ( Shannon,Golden,Manny etc)that secrecy has prevailed.

Not necessarily true. Spring practice and training camp absolutely were more open back them BUT once they ended training camp and began game preparation they closed it too.

I’m not sure why the aggressive tone, but ok. You’re missing my point. I think the media should be given a little more access. If you scroll through my comments, you ought to get a better idea of the point. You're free to disagree all you want.

Some people dwell on any kind of media...and use it as gospel

The are plenty of FBS programs where the media is completely barred from fall camp.

It's bizarre that people would complain about them not being at a few practices here, much less saying Mario is somehow taking a risk or whatever.

And the injury conspiracies really need to stop. It's somehow always the first thing people go to, even though if there actually were serious injuries that info never gets hidden

Why would these same low level staffers with a seemingly endless budget not just pay the $50 for a few months of canes connection lol

I'm saying sports journalists, for the most part if they aren't total homers, do a good job of keeping coaches accountable.
