Nike The Opening Thread (ESPNU 9PMET) Tonight

Both the opening and the elite 11 aren't on the Oregon campus right? They're at nike facilities? Or does one of them take place on the campus

Yeah they are both at Nike facilities.
Player's are beginning to arrive for the opening.

Trey Marshall, Dillon Bates, Artavis Scott, and Arrion Springs will be committing at the Opening.

Here is more information about the Elite 11
http://www.cbssports.com/collegefoo...-one-shows-how-much-the-elite-11-has-evolved-

Martinez on tuesday.. Marshall to FSU, Springs to Oregon, Bates to Tenn, Scott to Clemson seems to be the hot choices. I think Martinez goes to FSU as well.

I hope we get Martinez to complete the class. Whats up with the center from MNW? Anything new on him.

I think you mean Raul Diaz from Central and i know we haven't offered yet but he's starting to get some looks i think. I know NC State offered him not sure if he committed anywhere yet but Miami should give him another look.

Yeah that's the one. Raul Diaz is his name eh. If we have space in the class I hope we nab him up.

Oh my, Kaaya gonna make a lot of grown men stain their trousers with these comments

Miramar Sports ‏@MiramarSports 3m
"I can’t jeopardize anything. It’s a solid commitment. I have no reason to dip around other schools.” - Brad Kaaya

Miramar Sports ‏@MiramarSports 4m
“USC has shown a little bit of contact,” he said. “They wanted me to come to their camp but really I just can’t do that as a Miami commit."

- Johnny football is having a big time effect on recruits. Multiple players opening up their recruitment for Texas A&M after meeting the Heisman Trophy winner in person.

- Today Brad Kaaya has made the difficult look easy.

Brad just sent me this picture of himself with Yearby.

Sunday Update
** For the third day in a row 5 star Alabama commit David Cornwell has struggled. They say he's been inconsistent and his throws have been erratic. He has great arm strength but the worst accuracy of the QBs.

**QB Brad Kaaya, Morgan Mahalak, and Drew Barker were the best QBs of Sunday.

**Kyle Allen, who was yesterday's standout was off today. Just a bad day for Allen.

**After being awarded the most accurate QB on Friday, QB Sean White showed his true identity today. His throws were low and the ball comes out late. His height is a big time question mark.

Side Note: I think we got a good one in Kaaya. Look at our staffs evaluations man. We were on Mahalak too. They are both just blowing up.

QB U is being resurrected. I predicted this back in 2011.

I told y'all boys about Mahalak. **** the game tape. That kid can sling it.

Crazy that we got better than him.

What game tape, he isn't the starter. Any tape would be a a backup.

No pads = No count

Noted.

For me it goes right to MotorCity's observation - Our staff had these two guys on the top of their board from the time they evaluated them. Very impressive.

This is the relevant part of the above link:

Miami commitment Brad Kaaya of West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade Prep was one of the top six passers after Saturday's drills, and he carried it through to Sunday. The 6-foot-4, 213-pounder showed early and often throughout Sunday's practice why the Hurricanes ventured all the way across the country to snag his commitment.

"He makes the extremely difficult look really easy," Dilfer said. "When you're looking for greatness in any walk of life, you want to find somebody that makes extremely difficult look easy. And he makes everything look incredibly easy."

Rudolph, Lane, and Dixon better pay attention. We have an NFL line already in the boat, along with an elite QB. Time to bite, boys.

remember fellas

Just 5 days ago Warchant was saying "Is Miami really taking 3 ****** QBs"

If there has been one thing I have learned in the last year in regards to CFB and recruiting is that kids want to go to a place where there is already evidence of success and it trumps the whole depth chart/early playing time theory. Our DT problems continue, yet we are knocking it out of the park in regards to the offensive side of the ball. All we are missing at this point is additional studs at WR to compliment Langham, but even striking out there henceforth would be no loss considering what we already have on campus and enrolling.
