Am I wrong to have expected him to be a sub 11 guy? @skyman
There is ALOT that goes into it and we can cut it many ways but Ill try to keep short.. There are track guys, there football players running track and then you have track guys playing ball.. And as @Gru has mentioned you will have guys who dont have any understanding discouraging young guys from getting the benefit from going thru a full season because they will get "clowned" or mess us rep or whatever.. (sometimes would even be better just to train but not do meets for some guys but meets are best because you can measure over season and competitive juices and adrenaline give best times)

I looked up Nick times before because I wanted to see if he ran before (I am of the belief fast guys run track because they are fast, thats what they have always done, unless playing baseball or something idk) He had a couple times and none in 100m which tells me he just dabble in it and not a track runner..

An 11.1 early in a season in Feb is a great time for him because over track season next couple months with real training he will improve and get all the benefits of running track that translate to football field.. Before the real phenom types had access to yt training and coaches kinda skewed our view on things, for a real footballer you probably just tryna shoot for 10.9 coming out of your junior year.. He right there.. This probably his first meet of season, these kids get better over course, as long as they training right..

I hate the twitter and social media talk because it will only discourage people from running when the benefits are major.. Plus with 7 on 7 taking up soo many months and not having to worry about weird scrutiny kids would just forgo, I salute the kid and hope more put in the work..
