It’s slow. Doesn’t change the fact that he is a star on the field but it’s not a good time.
First meet of the season it isn't bad at all…It isn't "track fast" yet but by the end of track season I'd think he's 10.9 or 11

He’s Jerry Rice fast…times don’t look great but not many ever caught him from behind…First meet of the season it isn't bad at all…It isn't "fast yet" but by the end of track season I'd think he's 10.9 or 11
Hold on now, Jerry Rice was also 6’2 200. Lennar is barely 6’0 170 so not having elite speed is a red flag especially with how well we’ve recruited the position. He’s Jerry Rice fast…times don’t look great but not many ever caught him from behind…
Think he’s playing for Norland next fall actuallyIsn't he playing football for CC next fall?
Didn’t we hear this same nonsense w Bryce?Hold on now, Jerry Rice was also 6’2 200. Lennar is barely 6’0 170 so not having elite speed is a red flag especially with how well we’ve recruited the position.
First ever timed race. Let’s check back in early AprilAm I wrong to have expected him to be a sub 11 guy? @skyman
He's also 17 and still developing... You guys get way too caught up with everything outside of results on an actual field in pads.Hold on now, Jerry Rice was also 6’2 200. Lennar is barely 6’0 170 so not having elite speed is a red flag especially with how well we’ve recruited the position.
Once you do that you start creating teachers pets and division. Not a good idea imo. Let leaders grow organically that’s what got us where we at now.Miami should implement some “ambassador” bonuses for high profile recruits committing early, and essentially recruiting and earning commissions
on enticing other players and commitments…Nick is a local guy with major cache with his peers that would be tremendous value added to have in the class early and recruiting for you.
He’s got that football you ain’t catching me speed.Hold on now, Jerry Rice was also 6’2 200. Lennar is barely 6’0 170 so not having elite speed is a red flag especially with how well we’ve recruited the position.
Exactly..If you are truly a CANE you shouldn’t have to be paid to get other good/great athletes to come play with you.You should WANT to do this automatically to make your team the best it can be.Once you do that you start creating teachers pets and division. They already getting a top tier bag based on their talents. And other opportunities as well, that idea is something Billy Napier would do.Exactly..If you are truly a CANE you shouldn’t have to be paid to get other good/great athletes to come play with you.You should WANT to do this automatically to make your team the best it can be.
This is a big part of what evaluations truly is. Its not just height, weight, speed, production. Its about what makes you tick, your motivation, your drive, and what you do when nobody is watching you. Mario has separated himself from recent coaches because he can more easily identify those factors. Here is the ironic thing about caring so much about his track time.
Lennear could have chosen to just not run track considering that he’s already a 5 star football recruit. The track times won’t raise his profile higher as a football recruit. But the track times can be used to downgrade him as some on CIS are already doing. So track only has the potential to hurt Lennear the football recruit.
But what I take from all of this is that Lennear is 2 things; 1. Competitive and 2. Trying to improve as a football player by running track. We want players like this. I would rather have a competitive player every day of the week than a Darryn Petersen who is so busy protecting himself for the next level of the sport that he isn’t taking care of the level he is on. That screams to me that he lacks a killer instinct. I want guys who are not afraid to compete even when it opens them up to criticism/ridicule because they are the ones that make it.
Consider the report that MIke Harley and others made fun of Restrepo for staying late to catch more footballs. I want the Restrepo who does not give a da*n because he knows he's getting better and all he wants to do is win. We need winners and winners take risks. Losers do not
Have u lost ur mind! Have you seen how fast he is on the football field!? He’s lightening fast & never gets chased down! So who cares about track times as long as he’s football fastHold on now, Jerry Rice was also 6’2 200. Lennar is barely 6’0 170 so not having elite speed is a red flag especially with how well we’ve recruited the position.
Hold on, doubt Jerry Rice was 6’2 & 200 as a 17 yr old. People suggesting young fella is slow need to find a hobby. It’s February & early in season, guys. And how many players on current roster could step on a track today & run under 11 seconds?Hold on now, Jerry Rice was also 6’2 200. For real what does Toney run? How many guys running 10.9 did he run by on the way to the end zone? He’s got that football you ain’t catching me speed.
Nick can move when I see the film. Idk anything about track times but he looks like he is different. I did not get that feeling watching Calvin. PauseHere is the ironic thing about caring so much about his track time.
