NFL Combine Thread

My Ravens need WR's, a RB & another Safety.

I hope we draft either Homer or Darrell Henderson, we don't have a 2nd round pick though unless we trade up, the 2 of them probably won't still be around by the mid to late 3rd.

At WR, Hakeem Butler, Marquise Brown or even Tyre Brady in a late round pick would be good.

At Safety Quan would be perfect in the Ravens Defense learning under Eric Weddle for a season. Interested to see how John Battle tests as well, he could be a good value pick in rounds 3-5.

I guess it depends on what you consider "legit speed", but what I see is:

  • Homer has to get through the wash first and reset his balance & line, while Hall has a straight line. Hall might be a burner too (maybe he isn't).
  • I agree, I thought Homer would've housed it, But it still took 60 yds to get caught, and it was a 70 yd run, so you can see the speed.

- DB had 8 yds on Homer and barely catches him 45 yds later.

To me - just because he didn't finish off a 70 yd & 56 yd run, doesn't mean his speed isn't legit. Especially when he consistently breaks long runs.

I dont think it got widely reported but Homer played most of 2018 dealing with an infection in his lungs. Obviously that could have had a significant impact on his ability to maintain speed

Hate to hijack this thread as this is about Homer, but from this clip...is there anyone really not surprised why JT4 went off on that staph?? Jesus Christ this was horrible to watch.

Anyways, I'm proud of that kid T.H. Think he may have parlayed himself to a 3rd round pick.

Pure, unadulterated opinion from a main analyst is severely lacking and it's just not the same. . .

Rich is doing his thing as always but he's not an analyst.
Daniel Jeremiah is simply out of his element doing this,...calling out his opinions on players over and over after they post their #'s.

...if Steve Smith wasn't talking today I might've just muted the broadcast and watched. He's the closest they have right now,
but no truly respected opinions yet on a player-by-player basis where you know they've sat and watched hours of tape and know
what they're talking about.

To be fair tho,....I don't know if there is a replacement for him and maybe they'll just wait for things to collapse in Las Vegas and have him back.

I think Homer can be really good in the NFL. He will make a roster simply because he is willing to be a gunner in special teams. He isn’t afraid of contact which helps get on the field of a 3rd down back who may have to stay in and block on blitzes. He will do wel in the right system.

DJ is blowing it in his first day. Let’s hope he improves. He’s a better scout than Mayock but he’s awful live.

I hope we get Quan. No more safeties from uf or Florida st. They have all been bust. We don't draft safeties well anymore.

That would explain a ton. I never thought he’d get caught from behind like he did this year. We would’ve won another game or two had he been healthy 4.49 40 guys don’t get caught from behind in NFL often let alone college.

They expected a Gator to step in for a Cane. Jaquan is going to be a starter in the NFL. If he runs a low 4.6 he’ll go by round 3. If he runs faster he’s gonna go a lot earlier.

We not back until we do. Homer would work well in tandem with Gus. His north to south running style and he can catch out of the back field. With his speed he would help push our running back room.
