Homer tested out as one of the top-5, maybe top-3 RBs. Great day for him.

Yup, I knew he would be gone if he got anything higher than "Undrafted FA" from the NFL advisory board...

Kid has always been gifted athletically... Just hope he can get the vision down to really help break more big runs!

Why do some act surprised by Homer's numbers, He posted better SPARQ numbers than Cook:

"At 5-foot-10 and 195 pounds, Homer recorded a 4.55 in the 40-yard dash, a 4.03 in the short shuttle and a 37-inch vertical leap to come away with the best SPARQ score. Apparently, Homer can run the 40 even faster than that, as he said he ran it in 4.48 seconds two weeks ago.

**** I thought He should've played more as a true frosh.

Always was explosive, but I think we need to stop using the short shuttle as an indicator for making people miss in space. 4.03 is a great time, like berrios running in 3.8s. Neither were great at making people miss in the open field with the ball.

Moving latterly without going upfield is completely different from making guys miss or “juking someone”. There’s a technique that’s brings your time down.

In a live situation, you have to react to the defenders position after setting him up. And, you’re not balancing yourself by putting you hand on the ground. In a short shuttle drill you have two predetermined points for where you’re going to cut.

Travis would have been a day 2 pick at safety smh. Still happy for him though clearly wants the ball in his hands

At the 2:30 mark. That's a bad look for a guy with "legit" speed
I'm a huge Homer fan and think he's a **** of an athlete, but he lost some speed in 2018.
Let's just call a spade a spade.

I think Homer looked faster in 2017 than 2018. But he's always been very fast.

I guess it depends on what you consider "legit speed", but what I see is:

UVA
  • Homer has to get through the wash first and reset his balance & line, while Hall has a straight line. Hall might be a burner too (maybe he isn't).
  • I agree, I thought Homer would've housed it, But it still took 60 yds to get caught, and it was a 70 yd run, so you can see the speed.

UNC
- DB had 8 yds on Homer and barely catches him 45 yds later.

To me - just because he didn't finish off a 70 yd & 56 yd run, doesn't mean his speed isn't legit. Especially when he consistently breaks long runs.

Look at the amount of 30 yard runs he had last year. He was consistently breaking them off

Don't know if it was already posted in this thread, but does anybody know if the OL's have lifted yet?

I'm curious to know what St. Louis & Gauthier do on the bench.

Andre Dillard with a very very impressive day. His athletic profile is about as sure of a starter as you'll find on the OL.
